Why does only Yeong Su have a power? Why not others? They didn’t explore much on how she got the power.
Exactly my point. We only saw Yeong Su powers. Let's say Ji U and Cheol are superstrong, but what about Ji Hun and grandpa? And I can't figure what type of superpower has Eleven?

I really liked first three episodes before fantasy element was added. Should they stick only to one topic - social status- and went much deeper in realistic approach, it would be much interesting drama.

The last arc I found quite necessary. It didn't add anything substantive to story. I loved visual and one of the best costumes I've seen in dramaland. Usage of colors, placement of patterns and small jewelry additons felt so natural but they were deeply considered. It is quite similar feeling like from Rebel Princess, although style is bit different.

One of few modern Chinese drama which I enjoyed without forward button. A nice story full of fluff (mostly) with great acting...as a drama veteran I appreciated a few details which are minor...but finally somebody executed them perfectly: architectonical studio really looked like you would expect from a successful studio, working clothes also corresponded the situation. Plus ML fashion style was probably the best from Chinese modern drama I've seen - simple, comfortable with sense of luxury.

I am glad I didn't trust ratings but decided to watch it anyway (trusted SJK choice). It is not an easy drama, you need to be in mood for some heaviness but it has tons of very subtle humor which I really liked. It was sometimes witty, sometimes awkward, but funny. I must say it is one of few Korean dramas in recent years where I enjoyed every scene. This melo with a bit of slice of life characters is really nice if you want to take a break from chaebols, supernatural being ML, serial killers or hero ML, time travel ML...many recent Korean dramas has very artificial plot, many characters feel unnatural (cannot touch, cannot see faces, virgins at 30's, demons, mountain gods)... so in this aspect we have very down to earth characters, who doubt themselves, who are shy, unsure, want to be well perceived...just as we are. Plus all acting was great. So for me solid 8.5.

This one and Prisoner of Beauty are for me definitely the best dramas of this year. Such a great and interesting characters, not perfect, most of them were actually very flawed, but I had to continue watching to see their endings. All dialogues and scenes were meaninful and always added something to the story. Plus acting was so "wow", there was not even one weak character.

Can someone suggest more dramas like this? I already watched Will Love in Spring after this and loved that one…
Very similar vibe of the first half has Korean Nonetheless. It has quite low rating but I liked it for mature vibe, not so perfect characters (both are flawed). it has feeling slice-of-life. Although many viewers think ML was toxic, he was upfront about everything and FL exactly knew what she getting into.

It would have been better drama without the second "mums" part, just focusing on healing part. I liked how at first it was down-to-earth, no rich chaebol or guy with flashy backround...just a wounded soul. We get very few modern mature romances in drama world.

Wow, one of my the most favorite Donghuas :-) What a nice surprise..effects and everything are great...as transforming into live action they should made some minor changes cause it is different format. I love how Han Li is rational, stoic, not always playing blindly hero in donghua...but in this format character felt a bit flat although acting was great. I would expect after first kill to be more shaken, etc...

If we compare this drama to recent Chinese drama A dream within a dream with similar premise, it is lagging behind so much in sense of plot, humor, characters and deepness of the script...basically in everything.

I prefer this one much more that the Study Group. Although is much darker and toxic, we must realize we do not have the whole story. It is hard to see any healing when we haven't reach the end of the story but probably only half of it. In SG I didn't see any substance...this was much more raw in emotions and brokeness, each character was so well written.

Wow, the same director also made The Legend of Shen Li, which is my most favorite Chinese drama from the last…
I especially love this particular sense of humor, that the story is consistent, not too overcomplicated and ability of director to create tension between MC lasting over half of drama, it is not easy feat, but he managed to do that in both dramas.

One of few Korean dramas of the last 5 years which had me hooked, no boring moment, never felt the urge to press forward button, which is quite rare...it might not be a masterpiece but I enjoyed it immensely...thanks to ost, visuals and acting...there was also wonderful feeling of tenderness and intimacy between MC.

No. AoS is more on the magic side, large flashy moves. The story (especially for the first season) holds on much…
Six Flying dragons also had a good sword fights.

So, when Jae Yi is sitting on the roof and there's suddenly a sound of someone climbing up (or down) the stairs,…
Oh, my own understanding was that she reached the end of her life as an old lady, which was represented by winter.

just watched the trailer! the quality is insane, china keep improving their game, to me they are 1st in terms…
It is the same for me. In case of historical dramas they are on top, unfortunately Korean historical dramas can rarely compare (.maybe The red sleeve) in recent years.

Wow, this year we have two excellent romances from China. This one and The First Frost (still haven't seen The Best Thing). Both of them are dealing with heavy topics, which is always challenging...and both gave a touching story, fresh romance full of feelings, broken characters and great acting performances.
