I have an issue with plots where leads fall for friends bf/gf........ i am wondering if i should start it or not....…
The rest of my comment will contain spoilers, so I hope you're okay with that!! I honestly didn't raelly know how to explain.....I'm sorry this is so long..... :((

TLDR; it's a bit fuzzy, in my opinion there was no cheating involved, but your question was a topic of hot debate when the drama aired in China. Some people think so, some people don't.

Tang Jing and He Han start off as a couple together at the beginning. When you watch the first couple of episodes, you will notice that there are problems in their relationship. They mention how they had lived together before as a couple, but it lead to one of their breakups. They've broken up and gotten back together a couple times throughout the past ten years......and yet they still haven't married. So something's up.

He Han proposes to her at episode something (somewhere in the early 10s) but it feels like a "we've kinda been dating for ten years we should probably really just get married now for real" kind of vibe. Tang Jing doesn't seem to fully trust him, either due to competition at work over cases and clients, or the fact that He Han has a lot of "supposed gfs" around him, such as Vivian. The engagement party falls through and they end up breaking up. Tang Jing leaves Shanghai and goes to Hong Kong to work for about a year.

It's during this time that He Han and Luo Zi Jun start getting closer together and developing feelings for each other, although no one really confesses to either. So in my personal opinion, there's technically no cheating here.

Then Tang Jing comes back to Shanghai for a small surgery due to some stomach/health problems. This health problem makes her realize that life is to short and she wants to go back to He Han. Vivian also goes to Hong Kong and makes it clear to Tang Jing that she and He Han were never a thing and that He Han has always been innocent and good. so like Tang Jing is kind of regretful, etc.

She goes back to Shanghai and gets her surgery, but before she gets her surgery, she has dinner with He Han and asks him to marry her. He hesitates, but agrees. But in a later episode, Chen Junsheng says how He Han did that out of responsibility.

This is where it gets fuzzy, because he obviously has feelings for Zi Jun but I think he was worried that if he didn't agree to Tang Jing's proposal, Tang Jing may not go through with her surgery or smth.....

anyways, after He Han and Tang Jing are engaged, Zi Jun starts to distance herself away from both of them, because to Zi Jun, Tang Jing is kinda more important to her than He Han.

this was so long and idek if this helped LOL sorry once again haha

Not true. Zhang Yi Shan has been acting since he was 9 years old and Ji Sung started as an adult, so their years…
Yeah I know lol I watched him when he was in Home With Kids. But correct me if I'm wrong he took a break in the middle when he attended BFA, and also idk I dont think acting as a child can compare as much to acting as an adult in terms of experience?? But I mean I guess it could be equatable.

Before i begin this drama, i wanna know who ended up with whom. I just want to be on the right ship. Lmao, anyone…
After Chen Jun Sheng divorced Luo Zi Jun, he married Ling Ling. They remained married until the end.
Tang Jing and He Han are a couple for portions of the drama, but they broke up in the middle. He Han and Luo Zi Jun end up falling in love. The ending is kind of open/bittersweet and idk if you want further spoilers.

What's your favorite 2017 drama? :)
It's another Chinese drama, called The First Half of My Life. It's a bit more mature with slightly older actors.

Anyone like me thinks this won't be better than NIF 1? :((((( I'm so pessimistic.
I mean, does it need to be better than NIF1?? I think we should just treat both as their own dramas and stories. I mean we can compare if we want, but if we do, we should just hope that NIF2 is as good or almost as good as NIF1, we don't need it to be better than NIF1. Just watch and enjoy!! If you don't like it, you can always drop it I guess lol

haven't really had the time to sit down and check this out yet so all I've seen are only clips. let's not compare, even though we can't help it LOL but also even though I love Zhang Yishan, I mean he is still like a solid 15 years younger than Ji Sung and hasn't been acting as long too either haha

I watched some trailers and clips of this, but the lead guy's acting feels really stiff and his enunciation in Chinese is quite poor and his voice sounds really monotonous lol is he gonna be like that for the entire drama??? I'm debating whether to watch this!!

is it always so strict and intense in chinese schools like in this drama? I mean for example if the class hasn´t…
^^^^^what @taeklatte is basically 100% true. Gao Kao pretty much literally determines your future. my parents went through it in high school and in my dad's high school, out of a group of 80 kids, only 7 of them got into university with the gaokao. imagine the pressure to do well on it. high school in china back then was hella intense and is pretty much the same I think now?? Except there are more options to choose from now because now high school students in china can choose to study overseas, or apply for performance instituite and whatnot. But the majority still have to take the normal path. Teachers and the school also want high gaokao scores for prestige and for more people to go to their high school; teachers with students who have higher scores can even get raises in their income. So yeah, intense!

as someone who doesn't find too much interest in romance dramas, I picked up this drama on a whim while it aired and ended up falling deeply in love with it. the feels just come back naturally when rewatching favorite scenes. It's my second favorite drama of 2017!! And I still listen to the OST songs daily. This drama also made me develop a huge crush for Yang Mi <3

I believe Tengxun (Tencent) announced on their 2018 promotional posters that Pillow Book would air on its platform. However, the production rights have been bought by a different company and not by the company that produced the original Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms, so the hopes of casting Dilraba and Vengo as the leads is a bit low.
