Like I insinuated in the article, I know the main lead is who she ended up with in the end. However, I always…
I think Chinese historicals are better than Chinese modern dramas haha but Surgeons, The First Half of My Life, and Ode to Joy are my favorite modern dramas of all time. Romance isn't the main focus of these dramas though just FYI but the acting in these are all really good!!
I remember finishing this drama a few months ago. At the beginning, the twin siblings were annoying and yet still kind of likable at the same time, providing much of the earlier comedy of the drama. And then there was so much character development :')
i dont know this actor but i can say that he looks the part..^^ the kind of crazy guy who could act 7 different…
I watched him in Home With Kids ever since he was little, and this boy can seriously act!! He's quite talented and barely anyone ever bashes him on his acting so I hope his performance will be good.
The director for this drama also directed The First Half of My Life (which is a modern cdrama and also my second favorite drama of all time) so I'm very curious to see how his historical drama will turn out. And the visuals for this drama look awesome so far.
Oh my goodness, is this part of the ban on stuff the party doesn't feel is conducive to citizens feeling nationalistic…
The official reason SARFT gave for banning timetraveling was that it "disrespected history" and that “the fantasy of time travel – which potentially gives the individual the freedom to reorder reality" is looked down upon or smth like that.
But I read before that when the time travel dramas were really popular, there were cases where fans would actually try to kill themselves thinking they could time travel back. And since time travel was banned in 2011 (when dramas like Scarlet Heart and Palace: The Lock Heart Jade were EXTREMELY popular), it seems that this reason might also hold some weight.
Let me know if NIF has a happy ending please! And thank you for enjoying the article :)
It's a little hard to judge whether the ending for NIF is a sad or happy ending. I would say that it is a bittersweet but extremely fitting ending to nicely wrap up the drama.
If you guys are into more serious dramas with romance not as the main focus, I recommend:
Nirvana in Fire Legend of Concubine Zhen Huan The First Half of My Life Surgeons
On a side note, I found My Sunshine enjoyable, but I definitely feel that the original novel was better than the drama adaptation haha but I liked the drama because of Tiffany Tang
These are pretty good for beginners and I've seen a lot of these as well. Hopefully once people get into cdramas from these beginner ones, they'll go on to watch other cdramas as well (because there's a lot more awesome ones not mentioned here), but this is a good list to start with!! :D
Is the hospital in the drama considered as a government hospital or private hospital? If it is a government hospital,…
It's definitely not a private hospital; it's a public hospital!! Renhe Hospital is actually considered the top public hospital in China. A lot of public hospitals in China are similar to Renhe Hospital, especially the ones in the big cities.
If you watch this drama, keep in mind that the way they do things is according to hospitals and clinics in China, so if you're from a different country, some things may seem strange to you or maybe you've never heard of the way they do different things. Some patients may seem overboard........but I must say that a lot of them are actually pretty realistic. So keep an open mind!!
This is a great drama!! No draggy parts, good storyline, no black-and-white characters, great acting. This drama made me fall in love with Bai Baihe too.
