I worry about the accent and acting in another language. It's tough to do but maybe she can pull it off. Good…
She's got a slight accent since she only lived in NYC for 4 yrs before returning back to China to attend Beijing Film but I think she should be okay!! Or at least I hope so :D

It's the greater world/Universe the Novel is set in. Imagine something like Elder Scrolls or LOTR universe. There…
pretty sure Novoland is just a Chinese thing. There's cdrama Novoland: Castle in the Sky and cmovie Legend of the Naga Pearls. There's also another upcoming cdrama called Novoland: Eagle Flag. They are all part of the Novoland world/series. For some reason they used Tribes and Empires when they translated the title to English but if you see "九州" anywhere that's basically Novoland.

The dubbing thing is why I mind it less. Ultimately it doesn't matter much for me. The only problem with the Hallyu…
Ah yes, no dubbing would be nice. But Chinese itself has so many dialects that even if you have an all-Chinese cast, they have to be dubbed over due to pronunciation issues ://
And then when you have Taiwanese or Hong Kong actors casted in Chinese dramas, they definitely have to be dubbed because their accents are also different when they speak Mandarin.

But even if only Chinese actors who spoke Mandarin with perfect pronunciation were cast, Chinese dramas will never not have dubbing because often times dubbing is used if the script did not pass the censorship board and needs to be changed, so they'll change the script when dubbing the lines. But at least now, more actors are dubbing themselves, which is nice at least.

But I totally get what you mean!! I speak the standard Mandarin dialect but I've got friends and family from other places in China and I'll also be like wtf sometimes when they talk to me because I have no clue XD

Could u tell me if the drama is a huge success in china?
no TV station picked it up for broadcast so it is airing as a webdrama on three different streaming platforms.
