I love all of your points of analysis!!! Totally agree with everything you said. Trust was definitely the greatest issue between He Han and Tang Jing. Honestly, I can see why Tang Jing sometimes finds it difficult to trust He Han in the workplace, since the workplace in China (especially for a woman) is extremely harsh. She has to keep her guard up at all times, which makes her have a hard time trusting others in her workplace. I think also that if they were together for ten years and STILL hadn't gotten married by then, there was obviously a problem in their relationship. Anyways, so much more to say about this wonderful drama but your analysis pretty much covered the most important points! :D

actually I spent some time reading through Weibo comments and basically people are saying that when Ding Shui was still a leader of the Black Magic clan (or whatever it is in english), she had fallen in love with the king. But Xi Xie and Tao Yao said she could only be with the previous king if she wasn't a member of their clan. and she had to pass those obstacle things in order to not be a member of their clan. But Ding Shui faked her death when doing the obstacle courses, and then changed her face to look like Consort Lian and became a consort for the previous king. So I'm guessing the real consort Lian is dead and that it's actually just Ding Shui using Consort Lian's face??? or maybe Ding Shui was consort Lian the whole time....hmmmm lmao i'm so confused

so is Yuan Ling's mother a bad person?? I'm getting so confused....maybe because I keep fast forwarding LOL but can someone tell me what's the relation between Ding Shui and Consort Lian?????????? So is the real Ding Shui still alive??? (I finished episode 26)

I agree, but the casting does quite match the character descriptions. Ming Lan and Gu Ting Ye do have quite an age gap in the novel.

Everytime new episodes are uploaded onto Youku (Youku is restricted in my area), someone manages to upload to YouTube, and so I watch them on YouTube before they are taken off due to copyright. But sometimes I haven't finished the new episodes yet and they are already taken off. Where else can I watch this?? (I don't need any engsubs)

can I just say that Zi Jun's and Jun Sheng's son is super duper cute!!! hahhaa

omg I freaking love this!! I am a fan of both Zhang Yi Shan and Zhou Dong Yu and this drama is really funny so far as well (altho I heard the book is kind of angsty later on) but omg I usually stick with historicals but love this

I tried to change it back to the 58 one since most people on here use the uncut version since it has english subtitles. but the Hessa admin says that they follow the TV version LOL

I've been searching up book reviews on Baidu for the novel that this drama is based on, and it doesn't seem like this book is very well-liked (at least in mainland China).....hmm wonder how the drama will be. I will still watch it though because YANG MI hahaahah
