I don't think his uncle is the mole, they're trying way too hard to make us suspect him. I think he knows more…
Maybe. The mole could be someone else, but Yu Jeong getting 1st place on the midterms is no accident. Just like how the ML got 10th place, which we now know is because the chairwoman wants him to find where the gold is.
So the mole is probably the team leader right? I'm thinking that in exchange for NIS info they boosted Yu Jeong's grades, and thats the reason she got #1 on the midterms and why he wants the ML to stop digging through the school cheating scandal.
Can someone explain to me the episode 7's ending please, i watched til the end but i still dont fully get it
On the chairwoman's computer there was a file with the "Undercover High School" mission which is supposed to be top secret. So its implying that the chairwoman knows who the ML is and what they are doing, and that someone in the NIS is giving them info.
the best airing drama rn but my god the childhood connection thing is so stupid i can't 💀
The ML had no romantic interest in her until he realized shes someone he met in kindergarten 😑. Its just weird. At least show him having interest in her before this nonsense.
Gave it another go and watched til ep 10. This show is very very excruciatingly slow. A lot of the drama so far has been spent on QiQi, a love pentagon, studying, with some nice life messages sprinkled in every now and then. I know a lot of people like this show, so please dont hate me for giving a negative review in the sea of positive ones.
I think the cast is just not doing it for me. Song Cong is just your stereotypical tall, smart, quiet guy in the group. Xi Chi is the loveable goof. Huan Er is the bubbly FL that is nice to everybody. Not so much different than other youth dramas, but I just think the way they are written to be very bland. I dont find any of the groups interactions to be that funny or interesting. I'm not at the edge of my seat, hoping we get to see more of X and Y's interactions or Y and Z.
Qi Qi is as unlikeable as it gets for a youth drama and shes a main character. I think the show is writing her this way on purpose so mission accomplished? She is a flawed character, but this show forgot you're supposed to have redeeming qualities in flawed characters otherwise they are just characters that the audience doesn't connect or vibe with. Because right now I don't see why I should be rooting for her at all and shes taking up so much of the plot.
I also think part of the problem might be the cast is too big? Like instead of focusing on a few characters we get a bunch of superficial snapshots of a lot of characters. Like every parent has multiple scenes and their own issues, along with Li Tian, Xinyan, Du Man, and I'm probably forgetting some other classmates.
Watching this series I understand why some people complain that K-dramas lost their charm and magic. This is so…
Agreed that it uses a lot of cliches, but somehow I am still enjoying it. Like Love Scout its not mind blowing and uses a good amount of cliches, but if its made well enough it can still be a good time.
I want to like it, but I'm not connecting with this show. I've watched 6 episodes and Xi Chi is the only reason I've been watching so far, he actually has a fun personality. The other characters I find so bland though and for a youth school drama if I'm not connecting with the cast then there's usually not much else that will keep my attention. I like school dramas too, I've watched almost all the popular ones and to varying degrees I've enjoyed a lot of them. Anybody else feel the same? Do I need to watch more than 6 episodes or have I watched enough to know if I'll like it or not?
The lack of compassion for Yu Jeong in some of these comments is staggering. Did y'all just have happy high school…
Yeah I dont get the criticism for her. She hasnt even done anything? I would get it if she started ratting people out, but the most shes done is act like a teenage girl trying to fit in with the popular kids.
is there anyone else who feels like sang yan's character is just way too ironic for the message this drama seems…
Yes tbh the more "cute" scenes they tried to show of Sang Yan following her, the more weirded out I got. Like yes I understand as an audience we know they both like each other, but Sang Yan didn't know and he followed her everywhere in their youth, even anonymously stalking her on a game.
Some may see it as unconditional love, but it came across obsessive to me the more they kept showing. I feel they should've just kept it at he visited Yihe once, but couldnt muster up the courage to meet her.
It didn't help that they didnt expand on what Sang Yan's life is like without WYF, so that probably contributed to me being weirded out by it.
Great ending. BJT and Zhang Ruo Nan were fantastic. ZRN got some criticism for her acting early on by some, but by the end I dont think anybody can say she wasn't close to perfect. She absolutely nailed every emotional scene. Didnt know much about her before this, but she is now on my radar for future shows. OST was very good. Chemistry between the leads is some of the best you'll find.
In terms of things I didnt like.. I wish I could rate it a 10, but the changes in the HK plot are too glaring for me. I personally feel it was completely unnecessary the way they wrote it and to me it damaged both characters. I also really didnt like the grandparents story and how present it was for how completely divorced it was from WYF or SY's story. By the end when they were visiting the car accident site I dont think I could feel less emotionally connected to their story. I didnt like how Duan Jiaxu was barely present at all. For being best buds he was strangely almost completely absent from the show. I feel like scenes with him would have helped flesh out Sang Yan as a character. I wish the writers allowed us to see more of Sang Yan's life aside from taking care of WYF. Overall 9. Zhu Yi doesnt miss.
New to Kdrama? It's one of the classic kdrama cliche? A kdrama can't be a kdrama without that especially in RomCom.…
Yes I know the Korean audience really likes it. Some shows its okay when romance is the focal point, but this show is already juggling school life, action, mystery, comedy, horror, crime... A simple romance with normal attraction would be better.
