I just dont like how they wrote it. Even the catalyst for her calling SY was because of Su Hao An and Qiao Qiao. If they hadnt gone to visit her would she have called him in another 6 months?

I'm just annoyed at how she left him for 6 months and it is glossed over like its nothing. I knew "green flag ML" would have ultimate patience and welcome her back with open arms, but that just feels like an unearned separation and make up. Her leaving was flat out unnecessary. I dont like how a random conversation with two side characters makes her realize her mistakes, instead of I dont know... the one and half years of living together with SY? There were many better ways to show her improving and healing that they could have done without abandoning SY and those two episodes bother me, maybe more than they should but thats how I feel.

Yes. WYF leaving COULD have made sense if the novel or show wrote her that way. But its the direct opposite, the show has been beating us over the head for 10 episodes how much WYF regrets leaving and how she says she will treat SY right this time and prioritize his happiness. For her to immediately go back on her word, while also in the same episode showing immense courage standing up to her mother and relatives I might add, doesnt make sense for the WYF this show has laid out for us. She literally says in that episode, "I will fight you until the end"... It doesnt make sense because its not in the source material and WYF wasn't written with this in mind, and was only written this way in the show for more drama.

In real life anybody who still pines for someone after getting turned down for 7 years is usually put on a list.

The reason this is bullshit and getting called out for it is because for the last 10 episodes the show has been telling us that WYF knows she messed up in the past and she literally says "I will not hurt Sang Yan anymore, I want to see him happy" MULTIPLE times and at the first sign of an obstacle she runs away AGAIN. What an absolute nonsensical way to tank the shows ratings just so the drama can be stretched for a few more episodes.

Nah I was enjoying it up til now but ep 24 was some bull shit. What a terrible way to write a FL.

At this point the grandpa and grandma are the 2nd couple, not Qiao Qiao and Su Hao An.

The grandparents/second couple story still feels so out of place because its completely detached from sang yan/wen yi fan's story. Why so much screen time for the grandparents... just for an excuse so the second couple can interact with each other? There are much easier and better ways to achieve the same thing. Its like Im watching a completely different show when they are on screen.

But its just as heavy if not more heavy. They were the lighthearted couple before the gramps stuff, and now they barely interact aside from gramps.

Thats a fair criticism. I think we could have done without the secondary couple/grandpa story and just showed more of sang yan's life or more scenes with him and sang zhi but from the brother's perspective this time.

WIFTY, Hidden Love, First Frost all written by the same author is actually insane though. Are her other web novels as good as these?

People are spoiling the hell out of this show in the comments. Come on people. Not everyone has read the books.

I'm withholding judgment until I see how she acts when they are actually dating. It could be that she is being directed this way because her character at this point is supposed to be more emotionally closed off.

I rate it for myself so I know that I dont like it? Why do you care so much about peoples ratings. There are plenty of other people who give dramas 10/10s on this site just because they like the actors and I dont really care either.
