I don't get the hate around the second couple. I think they're really cute and fluffy which is a great counterpart…
I liked the second couple before it was all focused on the gramps. Like we still barely know anything about the guy besides his grandparents problems.

it seems like you just want to nag ,did we watch the same drama ? there were barely tcm scenes . drop it if it’s…
Yes I watched it because I read a comment that the Hidden Love screenwriter was working on this, but it seems this drama's story is not for me.

In the first half of the first episode alone theres already two TCM clinic visits, two scenes with PPL of a chinese herbal drink, a lung cancer patient getting treated with cupping...

How is that nagging. Every other scene is this. I just want to watch a drama not an advertisement in the first episode.
On The Best Thing Feb 26, 2025
The first episode is littered with TCM PPL every other scene and its taking me out of it. Seriously the cupping to treat a lung cancer patient was too much. This feels like I'm just watching chinese propaganda and not a drama at this point. Is it just the first episode thats like this?

Edit: Seems like this story is not for me. I just think the amount of PPL and TCM is overbearing in the first episode. At least let me get invested in the characters first.

Taking up episodes for a side couple is one thing, but at this point there is more screen time of the side couples grand parents than the side couple.

So... I think this was already answered quite a few time but did we need to watch "Hidden Love" to understand…
No you dont need to watch Hidden Love. Its hinted loosely a couple times in Hidden Love that Sang Yan has somebody he likes, but WYF is never mentioned specifically.

I'm gonna be honest, I don't care about the second leads or Su Haonan's grandparents' drama.
I liked the second leads before these two episodes, but I dont think Su Hao An needed a tragic backstory because the leads already have enough of that to go around. Should've just stayed fun characters that have more comedic moments.
The whole grandpa plot is a miss though.

I gotta say the first ep has such weird pacing😭 I had to check if I was actually watching ep 1 like 2 times.…
First ep is the weakest for me as well, but it gets a lot better in the next episodes.

Got 2 more episodes to go. I'll say that it's alright. The plot hasnt really surprised me so far, and Ive mostly been watching for the FL. I was enjoying it much more in the beginning when the FL was more prickly and spontaneous. As the series has gone on her rough edges have been sanded down turning her and the ML into a fairly standard kdrama couple. She is a fantastic actor though. I've enjoyed her character a lot. Other pluses I liked quite a few of the psych ward patient stories, most have been well written. Right now I'm struggling to stay engaged sometimes with the show as I find a lot of the side characters not that interesting and the main plot has dragged for me.

Very impressed it stuck the landing. 9-9.5/10. Its basically a live action shonen almost perfectly done. Didnt take itself too seriously, but also took itself seriously when it needed to. Fight choreo, OST, and camera work were all some of the best you'll find. Hopefully for season 2 it stays "grounded" in the sense that its mostly school related problems and not them fighting a huge CEO and corporation. I think the strongest episodes were when it was focused on the school.

First episode was rough but the other episodes were much better. I liked the leads. Dont go into it expecting a Hidden Love remix as this is more typical to other dramas where there are multiple couples and a lot of other characters sharing screen time.
On The First Frost Feb 19, 2025
Why is the mandarin so weird? Stuff like when the police officer is talking to the FL sounds like AI.
On My Dearest Part 2 Feb 15, 2025
I would say its worth watching for the cinematography, music, and some of the intense episodes like when the barbarians invaded, but everything else about this drama I struggle to find complements for. The politics in season 2 was just bottom of the barrel stuff. The romance started and ended well, but everything in between was just bad melodrama based on misunderstandings, zero communication, and really bad tropes. Im still stunned they used that trope twice in this season.

Again, I experienced a typical and common issue affecting mostly good Korean dramas: enjoying every episode from…
Yea the "plot" of the story felt kind of throw away and rushed in the last episode without getting into spoilers. I also expected more from the last episode. It was fine, not bad, not great, just acceptable enough with no loose ends.

I think that was on purpose though, with Ji Yun being the main character and focus of the series and Eun Ho really…
It was certainly intentional but the great romance dramas have a great FL and ML story. This just has one side of the story and as such I think it hurts it because it is a heavily romance focused drama and we do spend a lot of time with both leads.

8.5/10. Very good show that falls a little short of great. Pros: 12 episodes so not the typical 16 episode formula with all the typical cliches that come with it. Good OST. Great acting especially from Han Ji Min. Actual character growth from the FL where she hardly resembles the same character from episode 1. Almost all the side characters were very well done especially the Peoplez employees.

Cons: I said the FL had really nice character growth, but the ML basically had zero. TBH I think its because how do you have character growth when the character is already perfect. The ML had zero negative qualities; he was quite literally how I would imagine AI husband robots to behave 200 years from now. His character flaw was that he didnt spend enough time with his daughter because he was working too much, but then he has infinite time to stay late at work every night and be in a relationship while also not neglecting his daughter. The message was a little muddied. Also aside from being perfect he was also very bland. I think the show did a bad job portraying who he is as a person aside from being a father and perfect employee.

This show is literally "I love you, I love you not, I love you, I love you not". They pine for each other until they meet in person and then they hate each other because of misunderstandings, repeat until the literal end. Its just "misunderstandings" the kdrama.

Beautifully shot. OST is great. Acting good. Episode 4-5 were the highlights. The romance is a dumpster fire. The FL would quite literally drive any normal man insane. I feel insane for having to watch her character.
On 100 Days My Prince Feb 12, 2025
Shopping King Louie did it a lot better. In that show the ML is a useless idiot, but a loveable useless idiot. In this show the ML is just a hateful, unlikeable idiot. 5 episodes in and you're telling me the FL is supposed to fall in love with one of the most unlikeable characters I've ever had the displeasure to watch just because they had 2 interactions as children 20 years ago?
