i'm writing this after rewatching it for the 3rd time.
It really is a worthy successor of What's wrong with secretary Kim.
The pace was very good for a romance drama AND it could easily be a 16-episode format without becoming draggy or boring for not even a second.
I'd really like to see Seol In Ah (SFL) in more lead roles, her face is really unique compared to many other Lead actresses that star in Romance genre

Sadly, it seems like he was really sick which caused him to lose alot of weight. He was even restricted to a wheelchair…
i said he resembles a praying mantis, i don't care nor did i comment on his weight, he is lanky and it doesn't seem nice to my eyes but that's just me. i know he has a big fan base and good for him. now the things you mentioned as answers to being weak or unhealthy or whatever are not answering anything. i didn't comment on any of those, above someone mentioned that he lost weight due to shock, and i just commented on that, i only mentioned his appearance and acting in my initial comment so all those essay style points praising him that you just written are irrelevant to me or my comment.

You shouldn’t give the series a bad rating for that though! Watch it online somewhere, like myasiantv or dramacool…
i didn't rate it poorly though. i just said i lost interest because of them. Also i did comment in many VIP episodes of it on YoYo channel, AND it is not subbed in those sites you talk about. It goes episode by episode, same way it goes in the Youtube Free version, but since the drama was already finished and the price was so low AND because i like hospital dramas AND FL is one of my favorite chinese actresses i thought i'd give it a go. My rating is neutral for many reason apart from me skimming through it because they made it unwatchable. Also for a 40-episode drama it is indeed really slow paced and the Romance tag is hella misleading, i don't wanna spoil anything but it is as romantic as watching paint dry.

Might be the sound track copyright issue. They dont have it for outside of China
it's too much to be soundtrack related, and it's even in just conversational scenes.
The inaudible parts are like 50% of each episode in their OWN youtube channel..

i know he has a big status so i doubt he would be in financial danger if he took a year off or something, he also has a huge fanbase to support him if needed, so i don't see why he didn't take some time off to maybe become healthy. But from what i've seen he was always pretty lanky. anyway since he works and enjoys it it's fine.

honestly the unprofessionalism of YoYo network really pushed me away of this drama. i wanted to like it so bad..
They provided all episodes for VIP but had 50% of audio problems and 80% subtitle problems. So essentially you pay for nothing.
A wasted opportunity..

it's called acting. it's called trying out variety of roles, regardless of what it is. it's called a job. this…
it's my opinion. also there is a choice, actors don't just work at whatever lands on their plate, they evaluate the drama/concept as a whole ,then the character as well etc. It's not like she went to work one day and they told her 'hey you will be the most disgusting character ever' and she had already signed, she chose to accept this role and that's what i commented on. The last comment was as to how easy it comes to her to play such a despicable character, and how it shows that it comes natural to her. I believe there's a reason for it. Maybe there isn't one but no one can confirm or deny it. So if i believe she could play this character because she herself is such a cunning and sly actress, no one can take it from me or say its wrong/right. I said it was acting obviously, but maybe she is worse in real life and just had to tone it down, maybe she is an angel in real life and had to act like this. But this does not concern me and is not the matter i commented on.

he kinda looks like a praying mantis.
Not a bad actor though. Has a couple of characters that are very boring but some others that single handedly make the dramas better.

On Light Chaser Rescue Nov 12, 2022
So i just finished it. Mixed feelings, satisfied overall though.
The whole concept of the drama after reading the summary and watching trailer seemed good BUT having 40 episodes and the writing being so disproportionate really lowered it in my rating. I'll explain.
It seemed there would be (and i think it would be best) 3 plot arcs: the rescue team activities/training/missions, same for the hospital/FL/hospital-rescue collabs, AND the Romance part. If the drama was kind of evenly split it would be fine BUT it seems like every few episodes a Random 'disaster' or incident HAS to happen in order to justify the drama name or whatever. Also things where police or firemen could easily and maybe even better deal with. Writers here act like the rescue team is the only thing in the world.
Second bad writing point when it comes to time management is: the revelation of ML being the kid FL's father was searching, and his reaction to it. First of all we knew it since like episode 15 or smth but they dragged it out to 37-38, AND even if ML's reaction was justified , it's so late in the drama that there is no time for anger to die down and then reconciliation. WHICH basically leads to the weird anticlimactic AND RUSHED ENDING.
So if someone asks if there is a happy ending.. well yes for the second and third Couples, and kiiiinda for the Lead couple. Honestly if the 'shocking' revelation happened earlier we could have gotten a decent happy ending on the Lead couple as well. No need for big things but at least 10 mins of screen time with a wedding or something in the end.
Generally i'll say if the distribution of all things that happen in this drama was more even and well written this drama could have been better. And yes 5-8 episodes less could also be another good option.
I started this drama because of the plot summary and the Female Lead Actress (also the actress playing ML's sister became another reason early on), and if i didn't fast forward a lot of scenes i'd probably drop it before it ended.
It is an 8/10 i'd say in this genre, and having watched other similar dramas i think this rating is fair.
You are my hero for example is another drama roughly of the same concept and it does a better job in evenly splitting all the plot arcs. So yeah, as long as dramas like that exist i can't rate Light Chaser above 8/10..
If you do have time to invest on it though, i wouldn't recommend you to skip it. It's fine and not too boring but i wouldn't rewatch it either.

Which episode are you on? He got better. I watched this drama for the FL but was surprised by how appealing the…
i stopped at episode 8, waiting for rest to be subbed, but he is still arrogant, a know-it-all and a prick. i think at like episode 5 or smth there was a glimpse of him being good after they told that young girl she would die, and he was 'ok' at the end scene where he drinks coffee with the FL but NO. Next episodes same old thing.
If he was more attractive or more famous or at least had some other type of charm and chemistry maybe it wouldn't be so tiring.

ML is very annoying and has no chemistry with any character
Also if they try later on to have a romance plot point between the leads it will be even worse
Honestly he makes me already think that 40 episodes of him will be super tiring ,to the point of dropping it
It’s a pity cuz it seemed like a good concept and the bad casting on ML actor might stray people away for watching it

if they started the finale from episode 15 then maybe this drama could have ended on a better note. As most 16-episode KDramas , the ending was rushed with many plot holes and barely any closure or happy ending.
Generally after episode 12 or something like that, watching this drama felt like a chore and i just had to finish it because of Park Min Young(which is why i started it in the first place).
There is no extreme emotions, chemistry or whatever. The plot arc of FL's roommate/gay friend could have had more depth or handled differently, since the 'kicking' out of TaeKwonDo academy his character was sort of wandering around with not much to do. It's 2022 i think they could have developed the character either through the gay plot pathway or at least as an important character/friend of FL.
I'd give it 7.5 , if production was slightly worse and it wasn't so well cast(and full of stars) i would rate it even less. there are 3-4 actors here, including PMY that can do so much more and writers here really limited their potential.
Anyway it's a decent watch, not too heavy not too light, low on number of romance scenes.
Would i recommend you watch it? .. Why not? It doesn't have big problems or very obnoxious characters, if you even kind of like any of the leads all the better. It was a good job. Just that.

On My Love from the Star Nov 8, 2022
it's not bad and all that, but i think it's overrated . At least here in MDL where it is 8.6.
I'd give it hardly 8. for me it's 7.5 but i can understand how some might rate it as 8. but 8.6 is way too high.
Also it could be a 16-episode drama instead and be less time consuming, and the plot wouldn't change at all

FINALLY A DRAMA THAT GETS IT RIGHT!
we have the complete redemption and revenge on the fcking evil character for ONCE.
IN EVERY drama there are such evil characters that for the whole amount of episodes scheme against Lead characters or even kill people etc etc, and in the end (usually last episode as in every drama) the idiot writers try to make us feel sorry for the bad characters cuz their mommy didnt love em or they had a rough childhood or whatever reason. After X amount of episodes of us literally hating these characters the writers mock us in our faces and say 'hey here, this character is not so bad you should feel sorry for him/her'. NO.
Some characters are so hateful they just need to DIE get Locked up in prison or lose all their money love and family.
HERE IT FINALLY HAPPENS. Thank god the evil character died in the end. Such a worth it binge-watch.
10/10 for me just for this element. otherwise its a 7.5/10 for short romance genre.

even though the revelation in episode 15 is too much of a coincidence and too far fetched(while the drama had a very nice rhythm already) you can still feel heavy emotion after watching it.
There are some loopholes for 3rd-rate characters but you don't even care about them because it has such a great tempo.
Really a masterpiece in its' way.
totally recommend.
