Just watched episodes 1&2 with my husband, and The Haunted Palace is looking really promising so far! 🐍✨ It’s not quite as epic as Alchemy of Souls yet, but probably the second most promising murim/fantasy Kdrama I’ve seen. Also—is it just me, or was the opening very xianxia-inspired? 😍🌙 (Think Love Between Fairy and Devil or Till the End of the Moon vibes!) I loved the art and music—it pulled me in right away.
I’m curious if Korea is leaning more into this fantasy-historical genre? 🧐 I've mostly watched modern Kdramas and only recently got into xianxia Cdramas, but I’d love to see more shows like AoS with immersive worldbuilding + romance. 🫶💫
Anyway, I’m enjoying it so far—especially the imugi character! 🐉 Would love to hear thoughts from others who know this genre better 💭
