MS Hong stood out for me bcs the actress clearly designed her character—every slow movement, subtle mannerism, and head tilt felt intentional and consistent, even in a small antagonist role with little screen time. These details are not in the script. Bao has that rookie acting—she crumbled next to LYX. As for the other one… beyond saving. Oh, and did you catch HYX (Ye Wang Xi) and Kuang Lu from AOL here? Song Qiu Tong’s actress auditioned but didn’t make the cut.

imo, the structure of SLY is already quite solid. The story resembles a tall tree with many side branches. The main trunk is Tang Li Ci, with Fang Zhou and LY forming the two major branches. CY follows as a significant branch, then SLH. All other characters are like smaller branches stemming from the central trunk, TLC. None of them can truly stand alone without that core, TLC. While the editing isn’t perfect and the scriptwriter rumored to be someone from an Chinese opera background—it’s important to remember that this is only the producer’s third drama. Considering that, the achievements of this series are remarkable, surpassing many long time producers for idol drama. Their 1st project, Immortality, remains unaired; 2nd was Till the End of the Moon. Given that fact, SLY is a significant milestone for idol drama.
