I love this drama and I love the 2 leads. But I have to say this: though I love Xu Wei Zhou (Timmy Xu), I find his facial expressions inconsistent and at times, weird especially when he looks at someone.

That spy has already discovered the family before A'Wu visits them. So it's not A'Wu that has lead to their capture/death.

I thought that family is discovered by Helan Zhen's spy (the disguised prostitute) when she follows Xiao Qi, not A'Wu having them exposed.

To XQ, helping that family is not a big deal to him because he's been doing the same for all his fallen men, that's why he hasn't mentioned it to A'Wu; it has nothing to do with trust and he's not trying to keep it away as a secret from her.

- both the Empress Dowager and Empress get the fruits they sow
- A'Wu is entrusted to take care of the baby emperor
- Dumb 3rd Prince will come charging in to take the throne, only to find himself against A'Wu who vows to protect the baby emperor, and may eventually take him down
- Hu Yao may become a princess consort, as someone has mentioned here earlier, to whom? I speculate to Xiao Qi since she has saved him

All caught up at Ep. 51. Wow! So it seems ....

I don't feel the FL is dumb at all. I like her character. She's been very well protected so she hasn't actually seen how horrible people can be. She's learning fast because she's super intelligent, and she's courageous and forthright, and unpretentious.

Plotting with an enemy to kill one's own general just to get his woman back, doesn't deserve a life, let alone the throne :(

JOL is good. I almost dropped it at episode 1.

5 episodes in, actually this is pretty good. Enjoy this a lot better than The World of Fantasy.

I don't think it's a secret family. I believe it's the family of his fallen soldier. He has been looking for the families of his soldiers killed in battles so that he could support them in their living. I believe that scene tells us this story because almost right after, his housekeeper tells A'Wu that the household runs out of money because Xiao Qi has built a memorial hall for his fallen soldiers and given his own money to their widows and elderly parents and young children. Time and time again, Xiao Qi avoids wars and battles, and tells his generals how painful it is for the family if a son or husband is being killed.

Ah, yes, you're quite right about the weasel face, ... something's not right about him, just couldn't pinpoint, now you mentioned it, yes, something is up his sleeves.

Love both the ML and FL. Still want to strangle that despicable character, Zhuo Jin Niang. Now, even more antagonists are surfacing. Fun!

This series is GOOD! Hilarious mixed up! Love it!

This series is pretty good. Enjoying it so far.

I have a feeling that General Song takes bribes, not for himself, but for A'Wu because she has shared all her wealth with Xiao Qi and given to the soldiers and their families. This is going to be interesting.
