You're so right. That's why they have to cast Zhang Zi Yi as Wang Xuan. Any other actors would have made the character bratty like this brainless annoying cousin. This horrible girl should be married off as far away as possible to the Helan.

IKR! I adore him! He looks amazing in his scholastic outfit with a fan. He looks so good in his court official uniform. He looks mysteriously wonderful in his dark martial arts clothing. Fabulous versatile actor!

You're right. This is not really a synopsis, but a summary of the story. Deciding if I should watch it since I've already known the story from the synopsis, but guess I will still because, like you, I love the actors. And also, I'm waiting in between new episodes from my current dramas.

The last line in the synopsis seems to indicate so.

Yes, her acting is good, so is Hou Ming Hao's acting - he's such a heartthrob.

I love this FL - fearless, strong (good in fighting), forthright (doesn't hide anything - speaks her mind), intelligent, compassionate. She has a wonderful family, her parents are open minded and they always respect her opinions. Her little brother is a joy, smart and always does things for her with or without her command. It's very nice to see her family's dynamics. I really like this drama :)

I believe the story is towards the end of the Eastern Jin Dynasty. The names of the characters do not match the historical figures; some are fictional, some are real. Xiao Qi is said to have founded a new dynasty and become the Emperor himself. In the real historical event, Xiao Qi was Liu Yu who founded the Liu Song Dynasty which came after the Eastern Jin Dynasty when Liu Yu toppled it.
