When I finished watching this, I thought of you and wanted to tell you, but I remember you don't particular like sad endings (such as Promise of Chang'an, Legend of Two Sisters etc), so I wasn't sure. Glad you're watching. Hope you like it as I and @PeachBlossomGodess do :)

What a drought! Nothing good to watch after this. What are you guys watching next? I'm rewatching The Wolf. I'm even trying to identify Ji Chong's hawk, doesn't look like an eagle.

Emperor is killed by his 2nd son. Night Fury remains royal to Bo Wang, one dies. Bo Wang tells Ma Zhaixing of the killings himself.

It's more than a triangle. It's complicated.

I find they overdo the blood vomiting scenes in L&R (in every episodes there are blood vomiting scenes from the ML) just to capture viewers' sympathy. After the first few episodes (in L&R) I began to roll my eyes and say to myself, "Here we go again", whenever blood vomiting comes in :D

I love the Wolf here. He is formidable and doesn't fall even with a sword piercing through his chest, and the next day he heals as new. Makes me feel good that he is not too weak nor handicapped to protect.

She's a grey character.

I love it. The characters are smart and strong, and the romance is heart-wrenching. Prepare to take out your tissue box for the later episodes :)

On day one as Bo Wang, that's what he has been doing: his words and his actions don't match. He is such a compassionate and kind hearted person but he acts as if he is so ruthless and cold with no emotions. Whenever someone gets hurt, his heart hurts but he acts as if he doesn't care. When people say he molests Ma Zhaixing in episode 15, I don't think he does because to me, he's trying to tell her to back off by frightening her; he would never hurt her like this. She's the most precious thing in the world for him, and under his circumstances, he can't show his love because she would be used as a bait by others to hurt him and he can't let that happen - he can't let others hurt her. That's why on the surface, he needs to act as if he doesn't give a damn about her. He figures, comparing hurting her emotionally like this or letting others killing her, he chooses the former.

Good communication, yes, of course, this is the problem most couples are facing, otherwise there won't be so many divorces. Coming back to the story, do you know at that time Ma Zhaixing was only about 10 years old or so? Therefore she couldn't communicate that well. She did try to tell him that he's in grave danger and should leave, but where could he go? His wolf mom was here so he couldn't just abandon his family. So in desperation, she spilled out those hurtful words, hoping that those words would make him angry and leave.

They probably also assign him the title "sex molester" and they find the romance toxic. Well, for lovers of this drama, nothing much we can do about it.

I have a feeling that many viewers have a misunderstanding or misinterpretation of the Bo Wang character, therefore, many drop the series and give it a low rating.

I'm glad you like this one like I did, yes, somehow I just love this sour face :D If you haven't watched, you may want to watch The Wolf for your next drama to see if you like it. I really love The Wolf because of the romance (I'm romance silly XD).

I wouldn't call that wrong decision making. He does it for a very valid reason :)

Oh, there are different levels of being nice here: he may have a nasty mouth that spills shit (hence giving the impression that he's not nice), but deep down inside, he's kind and nice. So being nasty here is just a cover for him because he's not supposed to be nice :)

I love the ending of this drama.
