The ending has a "6-months-later" so I also think the wolf lived out those months and passed later due to poisoning.…
Awwww, you make it sound even more painful. Imagine he cries every night, missing her. Remember he's so devastated when his baby and mother wolves die? I can't bear to think he lives like this for the next few months. I'd rather think he brings her back to their cave, lays next to her and dies together in that cave. I cannot bear to think he lives another day with a broken heart T_T
Also the whole situation is just absurd. She found out the he is the Wolf boy and they immediately assume that…
That's so true about Bo Wang. Nonetheless I still love this character. Apart from on the battle fields and when he's being ambushed, he doesn't kill innocents. I'm just wondering the General (that hanged on the wall) that he purported kills at the beginning scene of Bo Wang's first appearance (with his war wolves), we didn't see his killing, we saw him in fact saving him (by cutting the rope). Then the next scene was him meeting with the Emperor with a box, purportedly holding the head of the General. We don't know what has happened in between. We don't know who has killed the General or even if it's a faked head. Some scenes have been cut out here. Any idea?
The tiger scenes are EPIC, with Wang Dalu's acting, fighting the tigers. Knowing those are faked tigers, and yet I still jumped multiple times, clenching my hands and biting my teeth.

Yes, the Emperor character is despicable and yet amazing. I love Ding Yong Dai's acting here. He really brings out the evil of the character and makes him so convincing.
My take on the ending is after Ma Zhai Xing's death, Chu You Wen brought her back to the mountains and buried…
He has 6 more months to live, but I don't think he lives out all the 6 months in grief and alone. I think he would have followed her pretty soon. Normally in real life, very much in love couples follow the other partner right after one's gone because of broken heart. For Bo Wang, he's very dedicated and deeply in love, so I don't think he would live the rest of his life in grief like that. So sad!

Yes, wolf boy is still there (with all his kindness and compassion) when he doesn't need to be loyal to the Emperor, or behind his back. That's why the Emperor has to issue the order to kill behind his back because he know Bo Wang would not heed to his order.
Finished. Sh*t - this is gonna send me into an extra deep slump! Inconsolable.
Hahaha! I thought I was the only one. Everyone seems to hate it (this drama), especially the Bo Wang character and not very impressed by the romance. I simply love what everyone hates XD.

The Emperor spares Ma Zhaixing's life for a reason: to use her to command the Ma armies, and then dispose of her and the armies when they're of no use to him. He doesn't want Bo Wang to have any real affection with her because he still needs to have full control of him. When the Emperor finds out that Bo Wang has had a love relationship previously and hasn't reveal to him, he's angry because he (the Emperor) doesn't want Bo Wang to begin to protect her and disobey him.
Ep 20... ughhhh I hate that emperor... he had an agenda since day one with wolf boy.... I don’t understand why…
They hate him for being too nasty to Ma Zhaixing and what he's seemingly doing in one of the scenes in episode 15. For me, he's only putting up a show. His actions doesn't match his heart, and those people who hate that scene misunderstand the whole thing. (I know more protests will come after my comment here. So be it. I'm still standing firm with my view :D)
