Ending: You sure you wanna read this?....She dies. He takes her body away (assumingly to their wolf mountain)…
I would love to think he takes her back to his cave on the Wolf Mountains, lying next to her and holding her and they leave together to a better world.
But stop! Here's another alternative ending: In the original story, we know that he has magical supernatural power - he can heal by himself very quickly in most of the episodes. Since no one has seen them after the last scene, we can speculate that he takes her back to his cave on the wolf mountains, heal her and heal himself, and they live happily ever after.
So it's up to viewers to want to accept whichever ending that makes viewers happy and feel better. For me personally, I love that they die together in their cave - so sad, so romantic, and yet so relieving.
Watched till episode 32... Bao Naaa, you LEGEND!!!! You're my new favourite character, you and Ji Chong!
She'll get even more adorable in later episodes! She's one of my most favorite characters here despite her initially off-putting spoiled brat behavior :D
No, not really. I like this one better because they're together.
The romance here is SOOOOOO GOOOOOD XD (if you think toxic romance is good like I do, XD XD XD. After all I'm a masochist - young viewers don't follow suit, bad for you XD).
Just finished the drama. The acting in this drama was brilliant from almost everyone. Although it was very hard…
Yes, that's how I've felt about Darren Wang's acting of the character too. His emotion is very fleeting. If viewers don't catch it, they'd think differently and hate the character like many do here. Everything on him is so subtle as rightly so because he's supposed to be a cold war machine and a ferocious beast which mustn't have any emotions. But reading every body language he has, discerning viewers can empathize with him and feel his turmoil and tormented soul.
The ML loves the FL. He also has one baby with his other concubine before FL accepts him (there's some misunderstanding),…
Haven't watched season 2 yet. Can't proceed because don't really like the story though it's real. According to history, yes, he did fall for the other woman because FL disappeared with no trace.
Phew! Made a mistake watching this and doing chores together. Now, have to start over because I've missed a bit of the discussions between the characters :(
Tyvm - would love to hear what you think of the drama since its so dark... do ping me or do a review.
When I finished watching this, I thought of you and wanted to tell you, but I remember you don't particular like sad endings (such as Promise of Chang'an, Legend of Two Sisters etc), so I wasn't sure. Glad you're watching. Hope you like it as I and @PeachBlossomGodess do :)

It's amazing how similar the stories are :)
