As much as I love to see there's actual character development, this is not what I see. I see the writer(s) trying…
That's the strange thing. For 2 years, JJ and YS have been living together like husband and wife. What makes Du Lei think that he can win JJ at this point? Weird!
As much as I love to see there's actual character development, this is not what I see. I see the writer(s) trying…
Though things have been taken away from him, Du Lei is of the more down to earth character, accepting his defeat, acknowledging his opponents. Though Yuan Shuai is his nemesis, he doesn't hate him. He has worked with Jiang Jun for 2 years, even longer than she has with Yuan Shuai, nothing has happened. Why now?
Whilst Du Lei’s current actions and story arc are leading towards an unhappy ending, it is not really that unsurprising.…
As much as I love to see there's actual character development, this is not what I see. I see the writer(s) trying to extend the length of this drama by putting in whatever that comes to mind.
Since QH’s tendons could be repaired, I don’t think WY cut her tendons as deeply as he claimed he did. Also,…
He had to cut Qinghong to save her because everyone wants to kill her; she had learned the Seven Star Sword Method which was forbidden for everyone except for the highest ranked wulin leaders. He didn't seriously hurt her that's why she recovered so fast. The only thing is, he didn't realize the sword he used was laced with poison.
I don't understand why people start watching this with the expectation of it to have complicated story and plot…
I love their chemistry too. For me, they are the perfect couple - loving, understanding, protective (of each other). There are no annoying misunderstandings or distrusts coming between them. Jealousy perhaps, and that's so adorable.
I don't care what others say about the FL, I just love this FL so much. She has a forthright character and very proactive. She would begin to take preventive actions when she feels the threats. I love that.
Way to go and ruin the SML for everyone. I was really enjoying the character in the first arc!
It may seem so, but I feel everything he has done since he's married to the princess is to protect everyone and avoid bloodshed. He just needs to make himself look like he's siding with the royal court because there's a super villain in there. Wonder how he would eventually deal with the prime minister who is also his grandfather-in-law and the head of the villains. Our SML is going to be the hero in the end.
So this basically is an NTR. Im not into that, drop!
NTR as in cheating, then, no, this drama is not that. NTR as in emotional hurting the leads are facing and with this also the audience feeling the hurt, then yes, this drama is.
I thought the Seven Star Sword Method has been with Zhan Qing Hong's father for safekeeping, but in this episode,…
Ah, I see now. So everybody has been assuming the Sword Method is at the temple all these years, which it's supposed to be but in fact Zhan has been keeping it. So this time round, Lin Fang gives it back to the temple under everyone's eye to throw them off the trail.
IKR! He looks so cool with the straw in the mouth. I love his directness too. I love the way he talks to Xiao Lan. The second couple is simply so adorable.
- Emperor takes in a 2nd wife- Fu Jin Zhan and Jiang Shao split- Sweet Li Huai Jin turns dark
Oh, no no no. He's not shitty. In fact he's a very good and devoted emperor. The marriage of the 2nd wife was forced onto him, and to avoid confrontation with another country, the Empress made him agree. Turned out, the concubine had an ulterior motive and later killed herself.
Does anyone know why this drama is titled The Promise of Chang'an? Did they move their capital and palace to Chang'an…
I'm asking this (about the title) because I'm trying to figure out if there is another meaning to the title "chang an" as in forever peace than the name of the city. If it is the city, I don't see a lot of relevancy apart from Xiao Chengxu capturing it. But if it's the other meaning - forever peace, then it speaks a lot. It means a promise for forever peace, hence explaining all the actions taken by our main leads; their ultimate goal is to maintain peace and sacrifice themselves in achieving it.
NTR as in emotional hurting the leads are facing and with this also the audience feeling the hurt, then yes, this drama is.
Thanks so much!
