As much as I love to see there's actual character development, this is not what I see. I see the writer(s) trying to extend the length of this drama by putting in whatever that comes to mind.

Oh boy, why do I feel the story is going downhill in the latest episodes (31-32)?

He had to cut Qinghong to save her because everyone wants to kill her; she had learned the Seven Star Sword Method which was forbidden for everyone except for the highest ranked wulin leaders. He didn't seriously hurt her that's why she recovered so fast. The only thing is, he didn't realize the sword he used was laced with poison.

I love their chemistry too. For me, they are the perfect couple - loving, understanding, protective (of each other). There are no annoying misunderstandings or distrusts coming between them. Jealousy perhaps, and that's so adorable.

I don't care what others say about the FL, I just love this FL so much. She has a forthright character and very proactive. She would begin to take preventive actions when she feels the threats. I love that.

I'm asking this (about the title) because I'm trying to figure out if there is another meaning to the title "chang an" as in forever peace than the name of the city. If it is the city, I don't see a lot of relevancy apart from Xiao Chengxu capturing it. But if it's the other meaning - forever peace, then it speaks a lot. It means a promise for forever peace, hence explaining all the actions taken by our main leads; their ultimate goal is to maintain peace and sacrifice themselves in achieving it.
