Cheng Yi as a 17 year-old Xiao Chengxu is passable, but Sarah Zhao as a 16-17 year-old Lan Mingyu is a bit overstretched. It would have been so good if they find an untamed girl to play this role; Sarah Zhao is too lady-like. However, she may fit in perfectly in later episodes as Lan Mingyu grows up and marry into the Xiao household as a consort.
I am on episode 24 now and there are 3 things that make me very curious. Hopefully L& R lovers can help me to…
1. This part is revealed quite late in the drama towards the ending. Both SF and XJ were still in the heavens when XJ was being punished and SF came to protect her. They both were banished and sent to the mortal world for the tribulations for 10 lifetimes. 2. After each lifetime, they go back to heaven and need to drink the 'forget water' and jump back down to their next tribulation. That was XJ's 10th lifetime when she jumped and arrived at Shao Yang. By the time she entered her mother, her sister Ling Long was already born. Her mother was in additional labor for a day or so for XJ to be reborn. 3. No, I don't believe they know SF's real identity before the final showdown. Other viewers may want to chip in for this.
Thanks for your kind words :)Just a reflection of my thoughts as soon as I had finished watching it (almost turned…
Right! Have you started that new series yet? It looks very good but I'm afraid it may be a love triangle, and according to some viewers, Cheng Yi cries in episode 4, heart-broken.

Yes, his review brings me back to those nights when we "chased" the series, ranted about the name Sifeng ringing in our ears, his blood vomiting, all the multi-layer plots and characters, all the angst and sufferings our characters going through, even those steamy kissing scenes. Thank you for helping me relive those nights :D
Cheng Yi's character in this drama is so cute! I really like seeing this more youthful side to him, someone who…
I have only watched episode 1 and I'm already in love with the Xiao Cheng Xu (Cheng Yi) character. I think all the Cheng Yi fans are going to go crazy here if this baby is going through heart-breaking pain again, and as you said, he's already going through it in episode 4. Dang! My heart has already started crying!
After re-watching this drama, I still have some questions regarding their age difference. What is the actual age…
LJJ was 5 years old in episode 1 when LQ moved to their apartment. Therefore, LQ is 2 years older than JJ. HZQ is same age as LQ but a few months younger (it was mentioned) therefore they attend the same grade in high school.
There's a lapse of time between LQ's mother brought Little Orange to see LQ the first time, and LQ moves to live in Singapore. So by the time she returns to China the second time, Little Orange is having her school break and she has one more year to go before she enters college. So I guess she's about 17.
