At least this one may have a happy ending (according to those wedding scenes), in the others, Si Feng ends up dead, either in the hands of Xuanji or in protection of her. One lifetime even has him decapitated. Do we need more pain?

Yes, that's perhaps the reason I love historical dramas too - good characters in the men (apart from some dramas with good historical values).

I've been puzzling over this part too, and now you've cleared it up. Yes, of course, she hasn't been 'fixed' per se. She leaves because in Singapore, no one would know about her past. For face sake, she can't stay in China and be near to Ling Xiao anymore, and that suits everyone just great. No wonder Ling Xiao's colleague urges her to read Jianjian's article and shuns her like a contagious disease (practically running away from her apartment).
