She's not very consistent with her facial expression. She can be very cute and fun, but a lot of the times, her facial expression is simply blank, rendering the viewers confused as what/how she is supposed to feel at that particular moment. I've seen a few of her dramas. I like her characters but not so much her acting.

That call of "Ye Hua" has a different feel from this one XD XD XD

Bai Shu's acting is amazing! I love the hissing sound he makes, and his slithering movements. Simply incredible!

Has anyone counted how many times he got stabbed? How many "Si Feng" has Xuan Ji called (my brain is still ringing with the name Si Feng)?

The writers have shown us in a very subtle way there's no love triangle at all. The relationships between Li Jianjian and Ling Xiao, and Li Jianjian and He Ziqiu are very different. Viewers need to catch the very subtle hints from their actions, words and body language. It is brilliantly written and not explicit.

Hahaha! They get the opposite reaction from you. Instead of making you cry, you laugh instead. Then, there could be a problem with the directing :D

A neighbor adopts a child from China. The adopted girl has a genetic disease and she can't walk. But she's the star in the family. Her adoptive brother carries her everywhere they go. Her adoptive parents love her like the most precious thing in the world. Had she remained in the orphanage in China, she would have perished.

Oh, BTW, everyone addresses Ling Xiao as Jianjian's hubby in the last 2 episodes, they sleep together, so go figure :D

So well said! Yes, in fact all this kindness is given to us daily everywhere but we tend to take it for granted. A parent fixes a meal, we tend to say, "Why are we eating the same thing again?" An umbrella holding over our heads in the rain, we tend to say, "Don't make me look like a wimp!" When a mother says, "Don't stay up too late." we'd think, is she checking on me? We seldom say, "Thank you for your concerns," until they are gone. This drama brings out all these small little things that we always take for granted, and has successfully put them right in front of our eyes to appreciate - we cry.

Not at all draggy (like wasting time). Every scene is enjoyable and funny, and yet make you cry. Try for the first 10 episodes see if it's your cup of tea. Most of us have enjoyed it :)

Some big names here. Love Zhu Yilong but not such a big fan of Liu Shishi. The storyline sounds like a repeat.

Yes, that's my first drama of hers. She did good in that. Are you watching My Unicorn Girl? Wonder if it's good. It has a rather high rating.

This also tells me one thing: The empire can change easily but the character of a person hardly.

- Chen Ting kills herself a second time. Regains her daughter, and half her son back, gets a partial daughter-in-law, a friend (well, at least no more animosity) in her ex-husband.
- Mingyue's mom loses her husband but gains a daughter. Still as naggy and as bossy. This is something I learn in life: if I want to nag, don't do it (eg. cleaning the house).
- Tan Can's mom - still the same, cares about how she looks in others' eyes.
- He Mei - gains a whole complete loving family because only she has an epiphany.

Endings for the mothers:

You're right, this seems to be the trend how Chinese dramas are written. I hope with time, they would improve their craft and give the viewers better written scripts.

It's like: give you a candy, and then dig it out from your mouth, then give it back to you, then dig it back out from your mouth. It continues like this to the latest episode released. So it's up to you to continue or drop. For me, I'm traumatized but at the same time, addicted.

Agree with you. For me, Ling Xiao's pain is not totally resolved satisfactorily. Attempting to kill herself and then leaving can hardly be a closure for Ling Xiao's nightmare, if not exacerbating it. Implicitly we all know Li Jianjian and Ling Xiao are the OTP, but I wish we get more of those fluffy romantic scenes, quiet moments of them talking to each other. These are the healing times for Ling Xiao. Unfortunately, for the last 2 episodes, they become so casual to each other; they haven't done a thing together alone despite implicitly they spend nights sleeping together.
