Yes, that's the closure for JJ's and XCZ's relationship. Now they can move on with their lives. MY's mother has sacrificed a lot as in many Asian families. Such mothers normally get the support of their daughters (not so sure for sons) when it comes to divorces. However, I don't think they would go through with it. MY would be the conduit to make them both back up and make changes to their own behavior/standing. Parents of this generation normally don't simply divorce just because they can't stand each other (not a good enough reason).

I watched up to episode 44. Just as I thought the ML becomes strong and less vulnerable, he gets stabbed. I was like WTF! I'm so drained. So, all these pains are going to continue for him until the final catharsis which I believe will eventually come.

Hard for me to fathom all these parents: why do they still want to meddle with their adult children's lives? They are controlling and suffocating. Sadly they don't see what's wrong with this. For them, this is love and they want what's best for their children. They're making everyone so miserable.

No, there's no romance between between Chengzi and Ziqiu. What I'm saying is Chengzi wants a brother that treats her like the way Ling Xiao treats Jianjian when they were little, that kind of closeness and warmth that she finds in Ziqiu.
One thing so incredible about this drama is, despite the episodes are getting shorter, they manage to pack in a lot of details and emotions within those short 30 minutes. Just the latest episode 43 manages to make me cry and feel happy at the same time. Amazing writing!
