The writer is naughty. He knows exactly what the viewers will think and jump into conclusion. No, I see platonic relationship for Ziqiu and Ling Xiao's little sister. He wants a little sister because Jianjian has been hijacked. She wants a big brother that she never gets from Ling Xiao, the way Ling Xiao treats Jianjian when they were little (that's why she hates Jianjian because she's envious). Now she finds it in Ziqiu.
I'm still very hopeful. It's going to happen. It may not be right away. I don't see Ziqiu falling in love with any other girls at the moment and I don't see Mingyue falling in love too. She is going to focus on her career to prove her mother wrong (by leaving for Beijing but still keeping her room with Jianjian). I see her coming back, confident, and she and Ziqiu are going to spark. Ziqiu would be pretty successful by then that he's now finally 'whole' with parents that love him, surrounded by brother and sisters.

This drama for me is the best of all contemporary dramas todate because it captures almost all human elements that we may have encountered in our own lives. It's very relatable. It's heartwarming. It's funny and enjoyable, and yet it tears me up in every episode because it's very touching. The writing is immaculate as, as soon as it captures my tears, it gives me a candy. So I cry and immediately I laugh out loud. This is a must-watch no matter which culture you have come from.
