Episode 34 during He Mei's conversation with her best friend. She says Li Haichao still thinks she has remarried and given birth to Dong Dong. Her friend interjects that why hasn't she told Haichao about Dong Dong, implying that Dong Dong is not her biological child.

For me, as long as the family is intact, it doesn't matter whether they're married or not because wedding is just a formality. It doesn't make the family more, or less, family by a piece of paper. Being a family comes from the hearts of the individuals. Some people may have the most glorious wedding of the century, but after a couple of years, they are divorced. So, if Ling Xiao can walk out from the shadow and into the sunshine showered by Jianjian, Li Ba and Ziqiu, he'll be fine.
