Another tear jerking episode, but the immediate dialogues just make you laugh with joy. Ziqiu's hole is amended.

Episode 37 - Another tear jerking episode and yet the next second makes me laugh out loud. Amazing writing.

Come to think of it, yes, you're absolutely right - Ling Xiao has a pair of very lousy parents. His father thinks being a father is just to provide a roof over the head and food on the table. He hardly takes Ling Xiao's well being into concern seriously. He initially leaves this responsibility to Chen Ting, then later to Li Ba. Chen Ting is selfish and considers only how she feels herself. She hardly cooks for the family nor cares for the kids as a mother should. She leaves the caring of the younger kid to Ling Xiao. I have seen so many parents like these two everywhere. That's why we have so many kids die in the hands of their own parents through negligence and some even upright murder. Had Ling Xiao not met Jianjian and Li Ba, he would have very likely perished. The scars on him are not erasable. Perhaps until he forms his own family with Jianjian, the pain may slowly subside.

Zhang Ling He has that Zhang Yao's look (Love In Between), especially the way he smirks. Wonderful looking kid.

This is a wonderful series. Love the ML and FL join hands right from the start and have been together till the latest episode. Hope they forever stay by each other's side.

I find it hard to condemn Chen Ting because many parents do go through what she goes through (loss of a child, depression, divorce, committing suicides etc). Her actions and behavior are also very relatable to many parents (possessive of the children, controlling, manipulative, blaming, hurting others, demanding, lying, pretending etc). You're so lucky if you've not met a parent like this.

She's an important character in shaping how our beloved character later becomes.

I'm still seeing Mingyue with Ziqui, Tan can with Zhuang Bei. There are some very subtle hints here and there. For example, Tan Can gives up her dream and takes up an 8 -5 job which Zhuang Bei once mentions he prefers. Mingyue is very considerate and careful in her wordings and that's exactly what Ziqiu needs because he gets hurt easily by unintentional but careless words which Tan Can tends to spurt out easily. Let wait and see how it develops :)

Don't worry. She's back so that Ling Xiao can have closure, so that he doesn't suffer from those dreads anymore. We're almost towards the end of the drama. She's got to do something good, maybe not before she does something unwittingly hurtful first.

Most dreaded moment has arrived - Chen Ting and sister are back. However, I don't see 'bad mom' anymore. She's trying very hard to make amends. The only thing is, she may try to match make Ling Xiao and his colleague, the nosy Feng Xixi. More fun and heartaches to come.
