I do agree with you on some of the poor CGIs (not all are bad) and some plot holes here and there, given this drama was made under a very small budget comparatively. I've not even heard of the author before this drama, nor knew any of the main leads. I still gave it a 10 because I found this is the only drama that has touched me so deeply - it makes me laugh, cry, ache - all at the same time. It gives the most beautiful visual effects that easily matches TMOPB - that celestial feelings. It has the best OSTs that I've ever listened to, and there are many of them, vocal or instrumental. I love how subtle the production team injected the BL elements into the whole story without putting off any viewers. I'm even amazed by how I find out certain meanings and emotions by repeated viewings; it's like peeling an onion (not the part that tears up your eyes, well, you know what I mean). I love the chemistry between the main leads, whether on screen or off screen. I do love TMOPB and Nirvana in Fire for different reasons, but both hadn't touched me the way The Untamed has.

BTW, thank you for introducing "I Shall Seal The Heaven" here. Like you, I'm a great wuxia/xianxia fan. Upon preliminary checking out, this looks like a wonderful novel. Do you have the novel in Chinese or any direct links to the novel? Thanks so much!

Like you, I love romance. I thought I wouldn't like The Untamed. I was so wrong. It's very hard to describe here because everyone feels differently about what exactly romance is. I also normally don't like to watch bromance/BL type of stories, but I can assure you, this one is different. It doesn't have any kissing scenes or anything that makes anyone flinched. The drama itself is aesthetically beautiful. The OSTs are the most amazing. The actors' chemistry is simply wonderful. You should check it out.

Sorry, mistook your (@Vietgal505's) meaning. Yes, watched both, and loved both. Haunted by Goodbye My Princess for a long time, until The Untamed came along. It saved me from depression after Goodbye My Princess but put me into another rabbit hole :D.

I do agree with you on the shorter screen time for Yuan Song. I wish he had spent more time with her because he's so endearing and passionate. I wish he had a stronger character than being pushed around like that, getting hurt and not being able to hit back at Ye Lu Ming by getting under his skin (such as showing up more at He Fan Xing's home, workplace, dates etc).

Go watch The Untamed. Bet you cry even more. :D
