Ehhhh, lol I wanted her to be with second main lead is it just me? Anybody else?
I think there are a few people here who like the SML too. But the rest wants to strangle him because of how manipulative he is XD. For me, personally, I do like Yuan Song a lot, even before his background is revealed. I love Yuan Song's youthfulness, devotion, openness; he means what he says and says what he means - he doesn't twist things around like the way Ye Lu Ming does.

Title The Untamed
BTW, this is in traditional Chinese, not simplified.
I just briefly compared the first few lines of chapter 2 (I'm using the exiledrebelsscanlations). I find they're pretty close, almost line by line, with very slight differences here and there, eg. Chinese version says, "many years", English version says "a couple of years"; Chinese version says, "Watch him tight. Don't let him out to embarrass us", English version says, “Watch carefully. Don’t let him outside anytime this month, or he’ll make a fool of himself again!”, also Chinese version says, "WTF!", English says, "how can this happen to me?".

I find the Chinese version funnier because there are many characters that can help one conjure up the images but totally lost in the translation.

I'm not sure you won't be confused by this version of the Chinese MDZS because it is written in traditional (old) Chinese characters. Even Wei Wuxian's name is written differently - 魏無羨 as compared to 魏无羡. I haven't seen the simplified Chinese version yet. Personally, I prefer traditional Chinese because it represents so many things of the Chinese culture in its characters (totally lost in the simplified version). BTW, when Lan Zhan and Wei Yin read and write in the drama, they do it in traditional Chinese. But for most Chinese language courses today, they are taught in simplified Chinese characters for obvious reason - they are easier and fewer.

Have fun!

Does this have romance or just bromance?
Depends how you define romance. Boy/girl romance, no. Kissing scenes, no. Friendship, togetherness, yes.

I’ve been on the fence on whether or not I wanna watch this show and your review is very helpful. Have you seen…
No, I've not watched the said title. But, do watch this one. It's really very sweet. Simple story line, but lots of nice family dynamics.

Watch it. You won't regret. S2 will be here in no time.
Time is a relative thing. I waited for Ever Night 2 since 2018. Now it's out. I didn't even feel the time at all. :D

IKR! Never have I come across a drama that makes me cry and laugh so much, and in the end feeling fulfilled and warm. Like many fans, we've been here since summer 2019!

With all due respect, what you like doesn't mean I'd have to agree with you. For that, I don't see any reasons for any attacks as such. This is a free world and we're all entitled to our own opinions. I'm sorry if you find it hard to accept but that's not my concern.

Have a wonderful life.

Title Under the Power Spoiler
Lu Yi was imprisoned because he went to the Emperor to ask him to clear Yuan Jin Xia's grandfather's name, knowing…
Like I said previously, the Emperor could never be wrong because he's supreme. Therefore, he was not wrong in his mind for the killings despite he was deceived; he couldn't admit to it. What Lu Yi had done was to force him to admit, and that action was a death sentence.

Title Under the Power Spoiler
Lu Yi was imprisoned because he went to the Emperor to ask him to clear Yuan Jin Xia's grandfather's name, knowing…
Because emperors in those days were absolute rulers. They were considered as Tian Zi - meaning to say they were from the heavens, equivalent to God, and they could not make mistakes. So he couldn't admit to his mistake, and anyone dared challenge him would be executed. Lu Yi's father asked Yuan Jin Xia to appeal to the new emperor when the current one died. But Lu Yi wanted to pay for what his father had done to the Xia family, knowing he'd be sentenced to death by going against the Emperor (when Lu Yi requested the Emperor to admit he was wrong in killing the Xia family and to clear the Xia family name).

Don't worry whether the ending is good or bad, we're all here to support each other. If it's good, we'd cheer. If it's bad, we'd bash the SML, script-writers, FL, her mom, and anyone that crosses our path to let out our steam. XD. Have fun!
