Yep! That's exactly one of the holes of this drama. WY met LZ 16 years ago. They spent months in Gusu studying (in the anime, JC was there for 1 year). Then all the things happened, and Jiang sect's annihilation. Then WY disappeared for 3 months after he lost his golden core. Then he and the Wen sect remnants live together for some months if not years (in the anime, it says 3 years or something). During that time, Yanli married and gave birth (gestation 9 months). So the 16 years for WY's death cannot be accounted for.

Watching LZ playing "Inquiry" for 16 years, I don't think I can do anything else with my life T_T.

Imagining LZ all sad but not lost, wandering the world searching for WY, and some genius musicians come up with some heart-wrenching music. That would have been so painful. I think my eyes are going to be swollen crying everyday.

OMG! That would be so beautiful and yet so sad. Oh my! It gives me goosebumps. I can imagine we'll all be crying cats and dogs.

OMG! That would be something that may help the world stop fighting each other (I wish, sigh!). I'm holding my breath. Even just the thought of it (your suggestion of the new drama) makes this world beautiful again. But then again, I also want to see Wei Ying somewhere. Can you think of something that can have him returned?

Forgive me but please refresh my memory, are you talking about The Untamed OSTs because I can't find the Goodbye My Princess OSTs on Spotify yet. Yes, The Untamed OSTs are the best I've ever heard.

OMG! You're absolutely right. My bads! I was only listening to the song without looking at the lyrics and assuming they're the same thing. The "xiao" character is in the name of the title in "The Smiling Proud Wanderer", so I assumed it was the same character. I was so wrong. In the song here, it actually means "God knows".

Don't worry too much about all these comments here. Many of these are just locker room talk. It is indeed not fair to compare Nirvana In Fire with this drama side by side; it is like comparing an apple with an orange. Many viewers including myself have enjoyed this drama because of how brilliantly it stirs up emotions within us. We find ourselves empathize with the characters, and we can relate to the world they live in. Many of us also find the visual effects very appealing, plus all the sound tracks so beautiful. Do try listen to the main theme song (Wuji) and see if you like it. Of course you may have a very different set of criteria in judging this drama.

What this shows is, the majority of the viewers enjoy the drama and give it high ratings. That's what matters. We cannot expect everyone to have the same tastes and minds as we do. Each person uses different criteria to judge a drama. Furthermore, disliking this drama doesn't necessary mean the viewers are bigots or homophobic. After all, despite how much we like this drama ourselves, we do find many flaws and holes with it. Just that for us, we can turn a blind eye, but not necessary for others.

No, Wei Wuxian is not an evil person. He doesn't turn evil per se. He only adopts the ghost craft when he loses his golden core (like an energy pack within him) that renders him not able to continue with his normal practice anymore. Despite using the ghost craft, he is still an upstanding and kind person.
