Thank you so much for your insight comparing the novel to the drama. You help plug a few of the holes I find here and there in the drama. Your review helps me understand better where certain scenes have come from, given the conditions, making me appreciate this drama even more. Thank you again.
Oh dear lord, did you do your research before you posted this comment? Smh. They’re literally a year apart or…
I agree with you with the kisses. Chinese actors, male or female, tend to be pretty reserved when it comes to kissing, unlike westerners (or other Asian actors). Most of the kisses are not passionate; they are simply a peck on the lips.
I'm in love with Xue Yang's character song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vfUGIo7JKVgWell... with the whole…
I didn't like Xue Yang that much (I feared him) before I heard his character song. The song is so beautiful and explains why he is what he is. I forgive him now and love the song so much. It's so sad.
Yes, this drama produces the most amazing number of beautiful sound tracks, both vocal and instrumental. I love every one of them. The vocal ones have so meaningful and nostalgic lyrics, and the instrumental ones are just heavenly. The composers should be duly commended.
An extra audio drama chapter subbed in english. LZ is such a great caring husband!! If I was a guy I would be…
Hohoho! You're so funny.
Yep, all these love and caring trump many hetero marriages and relationships. So many couples are suffering in marriages and relationships that have no love. I'd give everything to have a relationship like what Wei Ying and Lan Zhan share.
For me, I don't want to move on. I want to continue to cherish this drama for as long as I can.
Yeah, I know what you mean. I'm watching other dramas too but keep coming back to The Untamed. I'm re-watching it the 3rd time. Enjoying every moment of it, especially those cute parts with Wei Ying and Lan Zhan.
At the end of the drama when all episodes are aired, I was asking myself, "That's it?" What happens to all these other people? Who is now in charge of the Wings clan (Yu Ran's clan)? Is Jie Ye the leader and protector of the Tian Ju group after Asule entrusts him with the power? Did Princess Xiao Zhou really marry the down syndrome prince? Where is Ying Wu Yi? What happens to his daughter who is in love with Jie Ye? So many unanswered questions. There is no closure. After episode 56, I was still checking to find out if I was wrong about the number of episodes. No wonder I saw some comments online asking, "Where is episode 60?" I didn't realize it meant this until now.
There might not be S2 but there should be two spin-offs (probably just an ep or so long) and a movie, from what…
Like one of the viewers suggested here, I wished we also get a spin-off or type of Wei Ying and Lan Zhan raising a bunch of boys, bringing them out night hunting and solving mysteries and crimes.
To those who dropped this drama only for the cheap CGI, y'all are really SERIOUSLY missing out. I've seen much…
You can't say it better. Absolutely agree with you. We love this drama not specifically for its CGI, but 100% for its characters and their relationships. This is such a beautiful drama that we wish for more.
I give up trying to escape my obsession with this drama; I'm embracing it. I'm relishing every moment of it re-watching, reading, listening to the music. If I still yearn so much for it, I eat some lotus soup (XD), and lotus seeds, trying to imagine how Wei Ying has felt. NICE!
This is honestly the best drama I have ever seen, and I've watched MANY over the years!I still haven't completely…
Yep! I'm walking in your foot steps. Never know I would love a bromance or BL as much as I do with this drama. Have tried to get my family to watch it. Not interested when they hear it's a bromance. The zombies scenes in the beginning didn't help. Tried to get them (my family) to skip to the episode starting at 16 years ago when Wei Ying and group went to the Cloud Recess. They (my family) said it's a low budget drama, and refused to watch. I give up. Whatever!

Very true. He just cannot express himself properly. Like Wei Ying says, words that come out from Jiang Chen's mouth always sound bad and hurt other people's feelings.
I have been blaming Jiang Chen to cause Wei Ying to lose his (Wei Ying's) golden core because Jiang Chen was acting…
You're so right! Jiang Chen is not a bad guy; he's just like one of those guys you don't like from your neighborhood. Only Wei Ying can tolerate him because they're brothers. He truly loves him and his Shi Jie. I just pity Jin Ling for being disparaged by his uncle all the time; I'm not surprised he would grow up to be a low self-esteemed man.
After viewing this drama a second time, then only I realized what Jiang Chen has done for Wei Ying.
I have been blaming Jiang Chen to cause Wei Ying to lose his (Wei Ying's) golden core because Jiang Chen was acting like a jerk. Now, I realize I have been wrong about him (Jiang Chen); he lost his own golden core because he was trying to save Wei Ying from the Wen guards, and until the end Wei Ying didn't know what Jiang Chen had done for him. Amazing love and care between the two who were drifted apart by the events.
