Definitely is the characters that makes this drama, especially WWX. He is a very fun and charismatic character.…
Yes, the feelings this drama has given me - laughter, tears, happiness, heartache. Almost experiencing all the emotions one can ever imagine. Man! Such a unique drama.
Imo it's the script that manages to keep and convey the heart of the original novel story. Novel story is already…
Yes, the scriptwriter is awesome. Even though I have not read the novel like many, I would not be able to tell the difference, and yet, I, like many, love it.
Well said. Even with religions, we have the open-minded ones like yourself, and the bigots. I don't know what religion you have, but for the Christians, I read somewhere that one must embrace everyone, not just a selected group.
I keep reflecting what makes this drama such a success as compared to other historical dramas airing at the same time. “The Untamed” does not have the large scale high quality cinematography as they have in “Novoland: Eagle Flag”. It does not have the best CGI nor the best looking costumes as they have in “Love & Destiny”. It does not have a ‘regular’ romance story as they have it in “Love Better Than Immortality”. This drama even has some pretty bad supporting actors as those playing the zombies and the disciples of the sects. Then, why is this drama so loved? Apart from the story itself, it has the most beautiful sound tracks played with classical Chinese instruments. Its visual director is the best in creating an anime style fantasy for its main characters. But most of all, “The Untamed” nails it with its characters; it has a very inspiring character played by a very authentic charismatic actor, Xiao Zhan. Bravos to all!
Well, some people are really really against same gender relationship. As far as I'm concerned, this type of relationship is natural and harms no one. Why do we want to condemn it?
If you watch game shows and talk shows where both Xiao Zhan and Wang YiBo are invited, you'd see, they are being…
I guess this would pass eventually when the actors have new dramas, associating with different actors/actresses. The Untamed is now so hot world over that everyone is talking about them. So I guess it's unavoidable. Maybe the hosts do it just because everyone enjoys their relationship so much, and they (the hosts) are not consciously trying to undermining them.
It finally dawns on me that the song "Wu Ju" (The Untamed) sung by Xiao Zhan and Wang YiBo at the end, is supposedly composed by Lan Zhan for Wei Yi (Wei Yi keeps asking Lan Zhan for the name of this song). The lyrics describe Wei Yi and the last 2 lines indicate that they should travel the world and experience everything together. OMG! This epiphany is so satisfying!
U know what, i hope these young actors aren't getting harassed like i'm seeing some of these comments getting…
If you watch game shows and talk shows where both Xiao Zhan and Wang YiBo are invited, you'd see, they are being teased over and over again for being, erh, 'gay' or insinuating that they are. They (the hosts) make them do stuff as couple, wanting to portray them as gay couple. I don't know this is good or not, though, sometimes it can be funny to see their reaction, but at the same time, stigmatizing them.
There's an uncut version on YouTube. It explains better why Li Cheng Yin did what he did. With that understanding,…
After this drama broke so many hearts, the production company decided to put up a modern day version of the couple to heal our mushy hearts. Watch the videos if you haven't yet. Maybe they could help you heal. Then move on to "The Untamed". You'd feel much better.
Ep 15 is when it hooked me. I had a super hard time getting through the first 9 episodes.
To tell the truth, I'm hooked to the visual and the music first before the actual drama. Those two are just so beautiful together and the music is so calming played by the flute and guqin.
In Ep 20, why is WWX mad at LWJ? Or he appears to be by the cold way he treats him when they catch up with him…
I don't think WY is mad at LZ. I think it's because LZ thinks WY has adopted an evil path and he's worried that he (WY) may become demonic. He keeps asking WY to turn back to the bright path and use back his sword again, but how can he because he doesn't have a golden core anymore (for cultivators, it's important to have a golden core to carry a sword). But nobody knows about this fact. Everyone just assumes WY has turned evil. Instead of explaining the real reason to LZ (which he can't), he tells LZ not to interfere with his choice.
