ahh.. don't get me started. I'll be going on and on until you get fed up with me. Yes, there are so many scenes I love, including all those you listed.

1. Gusu Lan Sect leader throws stuff at WY because he gave him unacceptable answers.
2. WY sticks a drawn tortoise on the teacher's backside.
3. WY draws a portrait of LZ, and adds a flower on his ear.
4. WY is punished after having a fight with Jin Zi Xuan. From his back, LZ thinks WY is sobbing, but when he gets to his front, he finds WY playing with ants.

WY is simply adorable.

Depends, some like it a lot, some don't. There're no boy-girl romances like in AOL and TMOPB. But the story is good and the characters are inspiring. The relationship between the characters is sweet and heart-warming. It's supposed to be a bromance or BL but no explicit scenes. They just googoo eye each other and I love this googoo eyeness (hope you know what I mean). There could be a few holes here and there, but overall the acting is good. If you don't like the beginning or get confused by the beginning episodes, skip to the end of episode 2. Then come back to episode 1 after episode 33. I don't normally watch bromances, but I love this one.

You've captured everything exactly how I understand this drama. It's my all time favorite. Until today, I still come back to this forum to talk to people who love this drama as much as I do. The music is beautiful too. It's so hard for me to move on to another drama. Wonder if it is the same with you. Have you watched "The Untamed"? If not, you may want to check it out.

To answer your questions, I don't think XF was pregnant but when LCY grabbed her, I'm not quite sure if she was violated against her will. The drama didn't show it clearly. I believe XF lived in the palace for 2 years, if I remember correctly.

I can feel that Lan Zhan feels for Wei Ying and vice versa after their first meeting even though they fight and argue all the time, probably to hide their feelings and fondness for each other, especially for Lan Zhan. Wei Ying is more open about his feelings.

Agree, they are special to each other and they don't treat others this way. They have total trust in each other and they care for each other deeply. Well, if it is romance, bromance, or BL, so be it. It's simply a beautiful relationship.

I know nothing about bromance nor BL, but if what Wei Ying and Lan Zhan share is being called such, then so be it. In fact, I like it. I wish we have more caring relationship like that among friends, family, co-workers, students and so on.

I don't know, I've not read the novel (starting to read it now), but I feel they're kind of attracted to each other from the very beginning when they first met. Even though Lan Zhan was cold to Wei Ying, he was, like, swept away by Wei Ying's unconventional personality and his affinity to flout the rules. Lan Zhan is rigid and duty-bound, whereas Wei Ying is care-free and finds enjoyment in everything, even in the most dire situation (like he found some ants to play with when he was being punished). For Lan Zhan, he was always obedient and Wei Ying was always mischievous. And the give-away is, Lan Zhan seems to appear wherever Wei Ying is (like in the beginning of their meeting, he was waiting for Wei Ying to return and found him drinking on the roof top). He seems to enjoy listening to Wei Ying's outrageous ideas. This kind of opposite trait always attracts each other strongly.

I like to dress like that myself, but I look 10 years older. :( Guess it only works (look younger) for some people.

Hey folks, if you want to recover from the withdrawal of this drama, the best way is to re-watch it. XD. I find myself picking up a lot of the subtleties I missed in my first viewing, like Lan Zhan's clothing (in mourning, he wears different clothing and Wei Ying would mention it), certain words they say, a mark here or there. I even missed the mysterious person at the beginning of the series. Second watch helps me to realize it is Nie Huai Sang with the fan clue (he's the only one who uses a fan all the time).

Don't recover. Just continue relishing it like I do. XD

The first 2 episodes are a bit confusing, but when it starts at Wei Ying's young adulthood, like at the end of episode 2, that's getting very interesting for me, because Wei Ying is so adorable, causing all the mischief and fun.

OMG! I can almost smell the soup. It looks so tasty! From now on, whenever Wei Ying says he misses his soup, my stomach will growl too. XD.

I know. Such fond memories. I love the music played whenever it shows the Lotus Cove where Wei Ying had grown up at. It's so calming. No wonder he loves it so much.

Anyone has the recipe for the lotus roots with spare ribs soup? I want to try it out and see why Wei Ying loves it so much. XD.

I cried when Wei Ying fainted and Lan Zhan was holding him in his arms, listening to Wen Ning telling Jiang Cheng how Wei Ying had given his golden core to him. Lan Zhan cried. That's so touching. I also love those scenes when Lan Zhan played the zither and Wei Ying played the flute together. The visual is just so beautiful as if it is an anime.

I love all the teasing Wei Ying does with everyone, especially with Lan Zhan. The bantering is so adorable. And then the scenes when the Gusu Lan Sect Elder threw books at Wei Ying because he couldn't accept Wei Ying's answers.

I love all the scenes when Wei Ying simply just cut down any bamboos around him and started blowing them. Again the visual is so beautiful.

Phew! I can go on and on.

Has the novel ever explained WWX's background, like his parents. What happened to them? I don't remember seeing this in the drama.
