Yes, in the later part. It's a shame because it was pretty good at the beginning. As always with c-dramas, it began to deteriorate towards the end, especially when it comes to the OTP. The drama also massacred many characters. Honestly speaking, I don't even remember how it ended, hehehe.

Yes, I've loved The Legends too. Too bad the editing was horrendous and the ending was meh... I didn't like it when my beloved badass heroine became a yellow-face housewife and seemingly weak, losing all her charms. And the replica children .... WTH!

Definitely watch The Long Ballad. Everything was good until it came to the fighting. I have not liked Dilraba's overly girly characters in other dramas, but in The Long Ballad, she was strong and tough like a man which I liked very much.
As for Xu Kai, if you have not watched Court Lady, he's pretty good in there. I love his character there, but the love relationship was very frustrating to watch.

Totally agree with you with those dramas. AOL, I didn't cry at all. LAR, too much vomiting blood makes me rolled my eyes more than I wanted to cry. But this one? I shed tears multiple time. But the worst tear jerking drama would have been The Untamed for me. I was like a cry baby.

This is one of those rare Chinese dramas that don't have love triangles and the couples stay together from beginning till the end. There're no serious misunderstandings and separation either, so no angst, easy watch :)

For me, I was thinking of dropping the rating at the beginning of the second life because it was so confusing (and I even dozed off several times). But then it became clearer and got better. So I have now up the rating :)
