IKR! In some other summaries I read, Qi Yan dies and passes the throne to his uncle. Another miserable character for Cheng Yi here. I guess Cheng Yi is so good in portraying miserable characters so he's given the roles all the time. He is doing amazingly good here - the resignation, the look in his eyes, etc.

In most other summaries for other platforms, they never mention these are twin sisters, just sisters. When you look at the scenes in episode 1 when the girls were still little, one is obviously a lot bigger than the other, so they cannot be of the same age.

Apart from the term "Chang'an" and Cheng Yi (and a few others), a world of differences :D

Someone needs to rewrite the synopsis here. It's confusing. The sisters don't look like twins, one is obviously older than the other.

So far, I can see 2 second couples but their relationship is not being developed yet.

Hahaha! I like many types beyond look. I like the Lu Shi Yi character and Richard fits right in :D

Cheng Lang treats Xia Xiaoju as one of his best friends and they are close neighbors so he takes care of her like everyone in the neighborhood. He has no romantic feelings for her. As of episode 10, it seems he's now falling in love with another girl. Xia Xiaoju is going to be devastated because she has mistaken all his gestures towards her for love, as described in some girly magazine.

Another miserable emperor. Poor Cheng Yi, always takes miserable roles like this :(

Almond shape eyes, most unique, most attractive. The character is simply amazing! I love it :D

They go to college in episode 9.

This drama is good. It's so funny that I laugh so hard, and I also cry for the struggle ....

I second to that too. I feel Wang Yi Zhe is absolutely fabulous for the role. He can look serious when he needs to, but in front of the family, especially his wife, he's just a big boy and Wang Yi Zhe completely fits that description. For chemistry, weren't Chinese families in the old days usually pretty reserve? Bai Lu is slightly aloof but we can see and feel Wang Yi Zhe's adoration and affection here. Perhaps many are wearing a tinted lens in looking at him.

I love this story. It's a satire, with a very realistic story told in a very humorous way. It's so funny and I laugh so hard XD.
