Apart from the cast (some of them are talented young actors!), the crew is also promising! The screenwriter wrote With You and A Love So Beautiful -- while not wuxia, she seems capable in adapting novels to dramas. The director also received awards last year. Fingers crossed their collaboration will result in a decent production!

Chen Kaige is the executive producer, and according to Screendaily, he's involved in the casting and editing too. So I'm excited to see his first foray into the dramaland!

Don't worry, a lot like this drama -- only they are not very vocal about it :). If you read the reviews, it's pretty balanced.

This has been listed as "Coming Up" on iQiyi, and I just heard from AvenueX that we should expect this to come in Q2 2020. The timing can't come close enough! :D

Quite disappointed, because I like him as an actor, and think that he's very talented (I've seen him in other shows). Though I understand how teens can be foulmouthed without them realizing it, I hope he learns his mistakes.

Agree with you. It's not the best drama, but it's not that bad either. I think it's because people started with expectation that this is going to be another Ever Night 1, and it isn't. The first 16 episodes are very entertaining, and perhaps it makes people have high hopes. But when it goes serious & darker, the drama gets off balanced. Like most other Cdramas, it gets draggy in the middle, but I don't think it's draggier than usual. The romance of the main characters isn't well developed and not handled well either. I'm not loving the drama, but I genuinely think it's decent and better than some in the same genre & with equal production values.

On the other hand, I notice there are also a few bad comments that seem to be for the sake of giving bad comments.

It's called "Your Mileage May Vary". Everyone's taste differs. If you think the drama doesn't deserve high points, you are free to rate it as low as possible. You may also want to create multiple accounts and have them rate this drama so low until you think the rate is satisfactory to your liking.
