People hate on JK, but really even without any supernatural element, he is not behaving all that weird. If an ML behaved the way he does seeing an SML and FL and getting jealous, trying to cement his position/win over FL, people would be all fine with it. (I for one, am not into jealousy tropes/scenes/etc that much.)
But it's not really just jealousy. He is behaving from a position that HJ has yet not taken away from him. And if/once she makes it clear, then only his behavior becomes problematic and suspect.
The spoiler free version, but Sin Yu (Male lead) doesn't clean up before declaring he has feelings for Hong Jo…
This show makes use of flashbacks. I think before episode 9, his situation makes it understandable that he wasn't just going to 'end it no matter what' because of how it all started out. But I think what he did in episode 9, we may see flashback in episode 10 that he indeed decided to/ tried to clear the slate.
I knew right when he told her that if she told him not to go he wouldn't go--that this time he would make the decision on his own without her giving him the green light. But I wasn't expecting her to call him, which adds more depth and complexity to the story.
But yeah, I think he had backed out of the trip and was on his way to her even before she called
I believe SY's love is real now, compared to his drunken confession. Was it cemented, solidified to love because he remembered his past life? Yes. But now it's real. He remembers the past lives and love along with his current feelings and having spent time, many interactions with HJ and knowing her.
So now he has a feeling of certainty and belief from his core that he loves her.
To me, this is a believable and real foundation and basis for his love.
Somewhat similar in terms of who the main couple are, but much better. The main focus is not on multiple lives and more on the present, actual characters.
Never finished MTD dropped after a few episodes, and skipped to the ending.
He did ask her to break up (ep 3 or 4 or something)... She just didn't accept it lol
He asked for some time first, then broke up. But she proposed to him saying she knew of his sickness etc (which I believe is the reason he asked for time in the first place), and he didn't object.
It's not very clean cut and is messy, but that's okay with me. That's what the story is dealing with. (Add in the convenient FL is cheating too trope, but shrugs whatever...I'm not hating on her, I'm just more interested in the rest of the story and characters.)
Jo Bo Ah is one of my favourite actresses and she has always looked SO gorgeous, but boy, how wrong are they doing…
I mentioned how pretty she looked in high school scene with her fuller black hair.
But I that it's supposed to be her character, where earlier she was described as cute--but now more and more characters are realizing and commenting how pretty she is.
- flower shop owner is not the stalker cuz its too predictable and kdramas stalkers/serial killers arent usually…
It's possible JK only said no to installing CCTV because he doesn't want SY to have the access/full access. He may install it and give himself and HJ access.
You'll notice that in episode 8, HJ has stopped saying "I don't like you". After the kiss she asked "have you…
I think after she asked him if he broke up, and he said no, is where she set herself to draw the line. What she said during the fake date i feel she was more like letting him know she's not going to just be with him even if he breaks up now.
If he had said yes, i believes she may have been okay with laying low, pausing things, and seeing how things go after time has passed.
By the time of date, it's more like even if he breaks up to get together, it would be that she took someone's bf.
But of course he's not going to break up without green-light from her, (which I can understand his position/situation because of how this all started) and she's not going to do that.
Why do they think the spells do not work? The read hand (bloodied hand?) that was haunting the ML has disappeared…
They could make it that it was just his neurotic imagination whenever he had migraines or whatever. Now I don't think that would be the way to go...and this whole drama is about supernatural, shamanistic elements.
I am not one of the ones complaining, I am just watching and enjoying the show for what it is. But those people…
Yeah, I agree on that that SY's straying and 'two-timing' is not ignored and HJ herself pointed it out a few times to him. But that was another comment of yours. The above comment of yours is about how SFL was always a bad character, and it's no surprise. People are not saying the character as written is not bad. They just saying that 1) she didn't have to be that way and 2) even if she were they didn't have to reveal and go to the next level to make it 'even' with ML--instead of dealing with the topic on its own without having to make it 'cancel out.'
I would've watched either way. I'm still watching. It's just that they took the easy way out. The situation is part of the mess the characters, relationship is in. They didn't *need* to bring in SFL doing the same.
It's not a matter of SFL using him from the start. It's a matter of why write the SFL that way? It would be more difficult to write SFL as a perhaps a shallow girl who didn't really do anything wrong but the relationship wasn't going just forced and wasn't going to work out. And yeah she was a bully to FL, and most likely show will connect it to past life NY or what not .but again people's point is it wasn't necessary to write her that way.
Anyway, I just felt like expanding on that. It's just not something people will agree on. So I'm going to leave it here, as it will just be repetition on my part.

All of what ypu say is true. There is no point in my repeating all the bent rules for ZY, foolish decions by him etc etc.
Glad that at least it's pointed out.
