I may have actually dropped it, till I read this comment. So now, I may watch it and make sure to comment multiple times on whatever stupidity this show may have in the next episodes.
I've been unable to get past the stupidity in episode 5, even though the drama itself is silly and I had no issue…
Does it make sense for them to kiss in order to make her a suitable candidate for others? Maybe only to make 2ML jealous, but otherwise the ML is outwardly engaged, even if everyone may know it is just namesake. Even so... they are engaged for business reasons, how does that even make sense that gossip wouldn't travel and affect the deal? Everyone is just going to go about and pretend it's all normal for the two to kiss for who knows how long. I played it in 2x speed and it was long AF. Seriously....
Shame they made his fiance seem to like him, would have been nice to not go that route. She could've been not happy because it will ruin their arrangement, but making her get upset and emotiona... bleh.
I finished it. Really good.I don't find the ending "open", I feel like everything was concluded well.Yes Lee Ta…
I agree with you. think the LTJ case is pretty much concluded with MSH telling him she will open the cold case, that too under the name of National Agency. He cannot pull rank on her, and the viewers can assume she investigates it. Maybe he is caught, maybe he gets away... but I doubt there can be a second season with that as a main storyline. Ditto about the hit and run being unsolved. That's his backstory and not necessarily that he will ever find the culprit.
How could they determine the driver's seat DNA was his? He was never convicted for anything for his DNA to be…
Yeah, going to chalk this up to just convenient writing. I don't think he would give evidence like that. He is arrogant and careless but not to the extent where he would just hand over possible evidence just to flaunt it. The arrogance always came from being able to subvert and avoid anything that could pin him down.
I was expecting him and his lawyer to ask where/how they got his DNA, but that never happened.
Thanks for the reply. I didn't catch, or at least I don't remember, the part about the clothes. But still the same point stands.
How could they determine the driver's seat DNA was his? He was never convicted for anything for his DNA to be in the system. And he wouldn't have consented to giving a sample as a witness. Before the DNA match, he wasn't brought in as a suspect. They had to give face value to the girl's testimony...so how did they match the DNA sample in the car with his?
To make it easier to understand, let me divide the alternated time character version as Past ML and FL, Present…
How could FL give proof of the Xis? He just had her give all her work and proof that present FL also had and was used to oust Zhao. Xi's involvement was confirmed only after that. The proof they got was tracking PS. Obviously in this timeline, we don't know/see how Xis were taken down and it would be different. But in the future timeline, she gave info and left. While in present, she was there and involved in the board meeting to oust Zhao with the same info.
Also in terms of memories, If the memories overwrite everything then it is not possible to coherently plan and attempt changes multiple times. For example, we see ML get the new memories but he clearly had knowledge of what he had done, what had happened, etc. He was aware of what the changes were. He talked to XN of how he's jealous that he never got to experience his new memories.
Plot hole in ep 14. She knows how to drive, and there was nothing shown about her being a bad driver, except the…
I can only explain it away that he was playing and she was going along with it. I think he was letting her be comfortable drive the jaguar as she had mentioned early on that she is going to risk driving such an expensive car. It is a plot hole, but that's how I explain it.
The teaching to drive remark hint was specifically referring to the initial accident so the present ML could figure it out on his own without FL. They didn't need to have him question her on how to make a right turn.
To make it easier to understand, let me divide the alternated time character version as Past ML and FL, Present…
Only thing I would disagree with this is that ML was always careful about not speaking to himself and FL didn't speak to herself either. So most likely he got XN or NN to call and explain to future/3rd ML.
I also suspect those actively involved with the phone and plotting timeline changes didn't actually forget their original timeline, since that's how it had been shown throughout all the episodes. So while they see the changes physically and around them, they still in their head know what they all did. Or else it doesn't make sense how future ML would become aware of his lucky timeline, if they all forgot everything that happened.
But once the phone's is destroyed (can guess perhaps all three coordinated to do so) they may truly forget except for past ML/1st ML who may have most lingering affects like PTSD, etc. FL also has dreams since it's her literal lifeline that's been altered, but her dreams are not in the extreme manner of past ML.
Binged this because I needed something funny, and it had good humor and comedy in the beginning episodes. Anyway this is a good drama even though the last two episodes could've been better.
I miss leads like this. Old Japanese dramas used to do it a lot, where the theme is something (not necessarily murders) and the leads are just implied to get together at the end. During the course of the drama you see the relationship grow but it doesn't have romantic cliches, staring, skinship, etc. So I have no issues and would actually prefer more dramas like this. (They were lazy in how they dealt with SML though.) But the final arch about the couple was pretty stupid and could've been way better (same goes for the danger arch before that). Only thing good about the last arch was the lipstick. XD
Had a few issues with the drama though. The last two deaths were harsh, man. Okay the second to last death perhaps that person should've been more careful (though I am not sure if killer went to them or they went to killer). Also am glad they didn't have to face the betrayal while they were alive and so never knew about it; because the leads were really stupid and never bothered to go over the facts. But the last death. OMG...why so sad. They were being vigilant and smart once they realized the truth/danger and was waiting for the right time so as not to endanger others as well as themselves.
I know this will never happen, but really I wish some of these dramas would have the main leads die and the rest of the characters commemorate their memories and lives. At the end and we see the other characters living their lives while the leads are together in the afterlife. Because I'm kind of sick of main leads' stupidity causing deaths and they always just get to live and enjoy life.
All that being said, this is a really good drama with the exception of the last two episodes where the quality drops off all kinds of ridiculous things happen. Even so, i watched and it was watchable. But still feel bad for the last two deaths. Happy with the fact that there was no overt romance for the two main leads glad there wasn't a kiss too. I hate ending kisses with no point to it other than for the audience.
Why wasn't NN stationed somewhere where she can keep an eye on the factory. Both XN and NN knew WZQ was prepared…
But WZQ states that the document is a will and he needs their signatures as witnesses. NN says Yuan won't sign the will, to which WZQ says that her French is not progressed enough for her to understand that it's a will.
So, it's a loophole/plothole/oversight whatever. Because they clearly were aware this was a possibility and even without the future Yuan's call, present Yuan is calling after realizing he's taken on a dangerous task. She would've demanded to be taken to where he went.
It really doesn't make sense. Possibly, due to future Yuan's call, less time is wasted in trying to explain to Yuan and they all head straight there, getting there a bit quicker than they would have in the timeline where he died. But this is a weak attempt to explain a hole in the script/story.
Why wasn't NN stationed somewhere where she can keep an eye on the factory. Both XN and NN knew WZQ was prepared for the worst--death.
How exactly did the future call from Yuan help? And how did it even change the situation? (Present Yuan was calling and would've demanded to go there, and probably did in the timeline where WZQ died.) XN got confirmation of WZQ's death so they were even more in a hurry to get there? But they should've planned for that even earlier.
I do understand that maybe WZQ's plan was to die so Yuan wouldn't. But then as I said both XN and NN knew that WZQ was prepared for it. So future Yuan's call should not have been the reason they all rush to find him.

I haven't gotten to episode 6 since watching 5 last week. Maybe I will get around to it.

Please, can people use spoiler tags in the comments?
