I'm, impatiently, waiting for her cousins to find out about her having a boyfriend. I hope that they don't skim over it. I just live for that type of stuff in dramas. They love her so much that I'm sure they're not going to be okay with any guy.
In the episode, his mom passed away while they were in the mountain. Different circumstances but his mother still…
I wondered if his mom died while they were gone just going by what happened in the past. It wasn't the same, but it was. He was arrested, but this time, it was to go undercover and not because he did anything wrong. I wish he could've told his mom something before he left. I agree that Ning would put him in difficult positions if they were together so it's best to part ways. They're just not meant to be in any life, apparently.
I had to rewatch the flashback of ZZ getting arrested to fully understand why Ning distanced herself from ZZ and just to understand her actions in next episodes preview. What I got from that is she believes that if they continue with their romance that it will end the same way as it did in the previous life. As in, she'll ask him to do something that is against his beliefs, but because he cares about her he'll do it. Then he'll hate himself for going against his beliefs and letting down his mom. Tomorrow's episodes look emotional on the ZZ front, but hilarious on the fake Xue Dingfei front.
After their talk, JXN now has woken up to the reality that his personality might not be for her (he doesn’t…
This is going to be frustrating. It's not something they can work through. He has vastly different beliefs than she does and there is no way that he'll ever change his beliefs. She would have to change who she is entirely in order for the relationship to work and she shouldn't have to do that.
After their talk, JXN now has woken up to the reality that his personality might not be for her (he doesn’t…
It looks like from the previews for the next two episodes that she's gonna try to force it. She just has to realize the truth on her own. No one can force her.
Today's episode cemented, for me, why ZZ and XN could never work. Their whole conversation regarding XW proves that their beliefs are too different. XN believes that, as long it's for a good purpose, you can do something that is viewed as wrong. ZZ's view is that wrong is wrong and there is no grey area. He believes you shouldn't do bad things even if it's for the greater good. XN understands why XW has to do these things. She was the empress, after all. In court, you can't follow the rules because the majority of the people there aren't following the rules either.
I had to laugh during episode 19 at the part where XW's friend said that JXN didn't know how truly evil people are. If only he knew who she was and what she did in her previous life.
Mizuki could've phrased what he said to Yoh at the end of the episode so much better. Now Yoh is misunderstanding things again. Mizuki didn't mean for it to sound like he doesn't care about Yoh's dream. He meant that he doesn't care if Yoh is unemployed. That doesn't matter to Mazuki because he likes Yoh and he just wants him to stay by his side. Those two just need to tell each other how they truly feel about each other. Yoh likes Mizuki, but doesn't think Mizuki likes him or that they're a real couple. Meanwhile, Mizuki has stated that him asking You to move in was a proposal so he thinks that he has made his feelings and intentions clear, but he hasn't. It's frustrating, but I'm loving it. I can't wait for the next episode! Finally, we're going to get the backstory! I have been waiting for this.
I still can't get over this drama. It's so good! I loved the friendship that evolved between LLH and DFS. The ending was emotional for me. DFS saying, in the end, that no one could replace LLH in their promised duel, was both sweet and heartbreaking to me. In DFS's mind, he's never going to be the number one martial artist because he's never truly beaten his biggest rival, the best martial artist, in a duel. I'm going to probably rewatch this several times. I hope to see the actors in more dramas after this one.
I have to wait until next week for the subs, but I did ruin it for myself by skipping to the end of the last episode and watching the extra episode. I feel bad for DFS. He looked so upset that LX was gone. I love how their relationship evolves from just rivals to friends, but still rivals; at least from DFS's perspective they're still rivals. I gotta say that I don't have as much self restraint as FFB. I'm so impatient for everyone to find out who LX is. I would've spilled the beans already. I can't wait for everyone to find out!
Also counts that Tan Jian Ci is doing a phenomenal job as Xiang Liu/Fangfeng Bei especially the micro expressions…
I saw him in Under the Skin. He was the male lead in that. I don't remember much about the drama since I watched it a while ago. I didn't even know where I had seen him before until I looked up his past works.
I just can't get enough of XL. I had to chuckle during today's episode because he broke his persona as FFB when he asked XY to quit being a princess and wander with him. FFB has a reputation as being a playboy, but that line just screamed XL. XY probably has little to no doubts now that FFB is XL. I can tell by her answer to his question. Before this drama started, I was happy with who was endgame, but now I wish XL was endgame. Why did they have to make him likeable?
After today's episodes, I have a theory. It's a crazy theory, but I think that the master behind everything is Shan Gu Dao. I know that we've seen his body and the master has facial hair, but it's been ten years. A man can grow facial hair. Also, why would anyone want to preserve his body? Obviously, so that you could trick everyone into thinking you're dead when you're actually alive. I had my suspicions of him in the beginning, but this past episode just makes me more suspicious of him. It's just a theory and I'm probably wrong, but that flashback gave me the chills over how not upset he was over that child dying.
I'm curious about something that was said in today's episode. CX said that no one has ever seen XL's true face; that no matter how many people have met him, all of them gave a different description of him. Is the face that XL shows to XY his real face? I know that he wears his mask around other people, but he doesn't wear it when it's just the two of them. That's why I'm wondering if the face she sees is his true face.
Xiang Liu have strongest power but so dense at romance. Tu Shan Jing is the weakest but the first one confess…
I feel like another dilemma CX has right now is he feels that he doesn't have enough power to protect XY. CX wants to focus on accumulating enough power to stand against his uncles. After he accomplishes that, then he can be with XY. This is just my opinion, of course.
I have a question for people who have read the novel. In the series trailer, it looks like XL forces the poison bug out of his body. Does he do that because of the current misunderstanding regarding XY? I'm just wondering if he was so upset that he wanted to remove it so that they wouldn't have any sort of connection anymore.
I loved how XL disguised himself in the boat. I know that he did it because, if he just showed up as himself, XY would hesitate to get on the boat with him. He has, after all, eaten her almost every time they've met. I'm glad that XL was there for XY during her time of need. I'm just now upset that XL thinks that she lied to him regarding her past when they first met. XY didn't lie; she just thought that her father and her cousin abandoned her when she was staying on Mount Jade for so long. Of course, she would think that she doesn't have anyone to rely on because, during that time, she thought that she didn't. I know that it will sort itself out because of the trailers for next Monday's episodes, but I hate that he misunderstood in the first place. I knew that Jing's fiancé was in league with his brother. There's no other reason why she would be concerned over if he remembered what happened to him years ago. I feel like the Queen of Hearts whenever she's on screen. I'm just thinking, "Off with her head!" That solves so many problems. I know that it's not going to happen.
Today's episode had me laughing in the end. I loved the meal scene with XY, her dad, CX, and YS. XY was laying it on thick with how obnoxiously she was eating. You know that she remembers the proper etiquette for eating since she was old enough to learn it before she left Jade Mountain. She's just trying to convince her father that she's not XY and that she's just this man from the country. I love how her father just let her put on this act and CX was so disgusted by how she was behaving. YS was just smiling at her, which was adorable. I kind of had some satisfaction when CX found out who XY was and he felt guilty regarding what he done to her in the recent past. I know that I should give him the benefit of the doubt because he didn't know that this man was XY, but I just wanted him to feel a little guilty for how he treated XY; especially after she saved him several times. I know that in his position CX had many reasons to be cautious concerning XY, but still. I'm glad that he realized that XY had, in a way, revealed who she was to him, but he was so blinded by his cruelty that he didn't realize it. XY's father is right, 100%. They need to wait for XY to tell them everything because if they push it, she will run. I can't wait for tomorrow!
