I haven't seen that one yet. I've seen him in Love Song for Illusion. I loved that one. I know a lot of people found it boring, but I loved it. It was my type of drama.

This is coming from someone who has never read the webtoon. I loved season 2! I can see why some people who read the webtoon are upset with how fast they were going through everything, causing them to cut stuff out. Initially, I didn't think about that, but now I noticed where they could've given us a little bit more. I enjoyed Seong Je (probably because Lee Jun Young played him) and I would've liked to see more of him. I also need his reason for leaving the Union and just what is his reason for joining the Union. It couldn't have been just about money since he left. He didn't seem to want to take Baek Jin's place in the end. What does he want? I really wanted Si Eun to go against those two guys in the Union that seem crazy scary. The one guy commented on Si Eun's crazy eyes and it's like have you seen yours.
The actors were fantastic. I want to see Park Ji Hoon in more stuff. He hasn't been in enough and he is so good.

I haven't read the manhwa, but from what I've heard, Da On and Su Hyeon slept together this episode. Did that happen in this drama? I don't feel like they did anything other than kiss because it looked like Da On possibly slept on the couch. I just need to know if that happened in the drama. It is driving me crazy since I heard that's what happens in the manhwa.

I want that too. I kept thinking that I hope that those two meet and are together in their next life.

I'm not the only one that cried during the last three episodes, right? I started crying when Xiang Liu went back to the run down Rejuvenation Hall and lied down on the bed. The tears got worse from there. I cried with Xiang Liu when he held Xiao Yao in his arms. I kept telling him no when he took the mirror and erased the memories of himself from it. I wanted him to let her have that one thing from him. Then he sent Chubby away before the final battle. Watching him die was terrible and I kept crying after, especially when he took Xiao Yao's tear out as he died. I was yelling at Xiao Yao because she thought that he erased traces of himself because he hated her. Xiang Liu loved her and is making sure that he doesn't appear in her dreams, which is what she said she feared would happen someday. He wanted her to live the peaceful life that she always wanted, the life he could never give her.
I wonder if it would've been better if they had left the stuff that they cut in. I heard that the second part was supposed to be longer than 23 episodes, originally. Part one was better and , thinking back, the end of part one was good enough to where it could've been the end of the series. I'll probably rewatch part two for a good cry. The actors and production were great, it just felt rushed in the end.

Well, as her father and grandfather pointed out, when you're king you can't have everything. You may have power, but that doesn't mean you get to have everything you want. You have to give up some things. CX has to give up on his wish to marry XY since he is king and he has had to marry multiple women for political reasons. As you pointed out, XY wants to be the only wife. I wonder if he would've pushed it if she was still a princess of Haoling. I would hope not, but his emotions are getting a little out of hand right now. I'm hoping he redeems himself because I'm upset with him, at the moment.

This has been rolling around in my head for a couple days now. So, as we know, CX made sure that everyone knew that XY's father was not the King of Haoling, in order to protect her during his upcoming war with Haoling. XY's father disowns her because he knows what CX is doing by not stopping that news about XY from spreading. The time comes where the King of Haoling tells CX that he wants him to be his heir, effectively uniting their two kingdoms. CX has to marry A Nian though. So what's been rolling around in my head is would CX have been able to possibly get what he wanted (XY as his queen) if he hadn't spread the truth about XY's birth father, causing her to no longer be a princess of Haoling? I know that XY has TSJ, but it's just something that I keep thinking about.

I'm shocked that I didn't cry during today's episodes. I was upset over what CX said to XY on her wedding day. Essentially, telling her that she'll get over it and move on later. I yelled "BACK OFF!" at my tablet.
I love how Grandpa is in the know. He wouldn't be the Great Emperor for nothing. He suspected that CX had a hand in TSJ's assassination and he just had to explain his suspicions to CX and give him a look to tell him that he knows.
I'm also happy that XY was able to figure out that CX was behind everything despite still grieving over TSJ. I hated that CX tried to make excuses by saying TSJ wasn't good enough for XY when it was jealousy.
I'm not worried about TSJ because I feel that XL may find him. Since he knows now, I'm sure he'll find him.
The scene at the end of the episode was wow. XY has a point. She did so much for CX and she only ever wanted TSJ. Then CX took TSJ away from her.

I loved today's episodes. I don't like that I know something bad is going to happen, either in the next episode or the one after. I'm scared. I'm glad that XY and TSJ are together again. He makes her happy and I love that for her. I loved how XL doesn't try to interfere in XY's happiness. He could force her to stay with him, but he pushes her away because he knows that they can't be together and, since they can't be together, he wants her to be happy with someone else.
This is not a hate post toward CX at all. CX loves XY too, but he doesn't want her to leave his side. Grandpa has tried to explain to him that XY wants to live a simple and free life and that he can't have everything now that he is emperor. He's just not listening. He's going to do something that will make XY resent him if he doesn't keep that jealousy in check.
I do have a question. Am I correct in assuming that CX spread the rumor about XY because he's planning to go to war with Haoling so he wants XY to have no ties to Haoling? Or am I incorrect?

It took me a minute to figure out why XY wanted that banquet to take place and why she was treating TSJ like that. Then I saw the ending of the episode and it clicked. The teaser for the next episode confirmed it for me. I was wondering how she was going to approach that whole situation and why she told TSJ not to believe everything he will hear or see and to trust her.

I hate how it feels like the writers are making me feel like this isn't going to wreck me. I know it will. These first few episodes felt like a way to lure me back in and make me think everything will work out. I know that I'm not going to be happy with what happens to certain characters. I saw the teasers for the next two episodes and I'm excited and anxious. I don't know what the aftermath is going to look like, but it's probably not going to be good.

That gives me comfort. I just hate that we're gonna have to wait a while before it happens.

Please tell me something bad happens to Tong. I can't stand the fact that he got to act in that movie, which caused the studio the fire the original director, and that he got to marry into a rich family. Ming made me angry, but Tong just took it up to a whole new level when Joe saw what happened over the last two years.

Well, the end of this episode had me in tears. Poor Joe. He was so happy, saying how this was the best Christmas ever. Then he finds out, from Ming, that he's just a stand in for Tong in Ming's eyes. My heart broke even though I knew it was coming. It looks like next episode is the episode where he dies. Tong upsets me in the preview because, in this episode, he talked about getting out of the industry. In the preview for next week, it looks like the director is going to replace him with Joe, which he is upset about. I know that it's a pride thing, but still.
In this episode, they showed that the first time Ming saw Tong, it was of his back. I have a feeling that it was Joe's back and not Tong's.
I regret waiting for this drama to be over so that I can just binge watch it. Now I have to wait a week to see what happens leading up to Joe's death.
