It has been a while since I've been this invested in a drama. I think the last drama I was this invested in was "Love like the Galaxy". I don't know who my favorite character is yet since we're not even halfway through the season. I like XY's interactions with all of the men so far. I'm looking forward to when CX figures out her identity. I'm wondering how he figures it out. Judging from the episode trailers, we should find out tomorrow how he finds out. I am suspicious of TSJ's fiancé regarding how TSJ got so badly injured ten years ago. She is so fake with her tears and she was probing wondering if he remembered anything. I'm thinking she was involved somehow. If she was, I don't know why. I'm scared for XL since he decided to take that poisoned bug for XY. I wonder what the repercussions will be for that, especially since the walnut disappeared after the bug went inside of him. XL has grown on me and I don't want something bad to happen to him right now. I also wonder when he's going to figure out who XY is. Will it be before she decides to go back or after? The wait is killing me for tomorrow's episodes!
I have been watching this as the episodes have been coming out. So far, so excellent. The thing is it has been months since I have watched a trailer for this drama. I remembered fragments, but not everything. I just watched the trailer that they released a month ago and I shouldn't have watched it. I'm so confused! Mainly, about Xiang Lu. The trailer just had me scratching my head and also filled with anxiety. I feel like this drama is going to do so much emotional damage. Anyway, loving it so far and I'm looking forward to my questions being answered.
I love that not everyone in the immortal sect is against TTJ and that he saw that. TTJ has people that believe in him, besides LSS. I laughed, but was also outraged, when the head of that one sect got all cocky at the end of the episode because TTJ ended up getting trapped. I laughed because the guy is way too full of himself to think that they would've been able to capture TTJ without TTJ surrendering. You're alive because TTJ talked himself out of giving into the devil God. I feel bad for TTJ in this situation. Di Mian is evil and you can't change my mind. Why else would you tell TTJ to just accept his destiny of becoming the demon God? That's basically what he did. He told everyone the demon god's plan for the life of TTJ, pretty much saying you might as well not fight it. He is now on the ever growing hit list for this drama.
I'm sure that someone has asked this question already, but who all knows that TTJ is the devil fetus? I know that LSS knows, LSS's bio dad knows, and TTJ obviously knows that he is the devil fetus along with the demons. Does LSS's father (man who raised her) and TTJ's master know that he's the devil fetus? Those two had a brief conversation where LSS's father asked if TTJ's master knew who TTJ really was and I'm assuming he means the devil fetus. If that's the case, why aren't they doing anything about it? I don't want them to interfere because that may alter whatever should happen, but I'm just wondering, if they know, why they're not interfering.
TTJ is definitely not going to give up on LSS. She can be rational all she wants and it won't matter to him. I think that she will realize that TTJ is going to need help in regards to him being the demon fetus so she can't avoid him forever. I am so angry that there is still going to be a potential love arc between GYJW and that woman. I knew we weren't done with her, but I don't want him getting hurt again. She just needs to go away permanently.
I'm loving this series so far. It's a nice change of pace in regards to the romance. I mean, Pat has a crush on Jeng when he first meets him, but that changes quickly. So it's not like Pat is pining over Jeng in the office. I feel so bad for Pat. He is a good person and he gets treated poorly by his coworkers. I know that he can say no, but thats another issue altogether. I'm talking about how they gossip about him and how he felt like he had to come out at work when he wasn't planning to do that. Then that coworker had the audacity to say something so disrespectful and rude to Pat. I wish Pat was able to punch him. I can understand why he broke down in Jeng's office. Jeng is getting on him about the presentation right after the incident with the coworker. I would be emotionally drained for the day after that. I'm kind of hoping Nan says something to Jeng, especially after seeing Pat leaving Jeng's office in tears. I can't wait for episode three!
Episode 28 was so sad. I feel bad for everyone, except YBC. I don't care if she dies or gets hurt. Anyway, TTJ went over the edge in this episode. After YXW died, he just went into denial. That broke my heart to see TTJ like that. YQY is another character that I pitied in episode 28. He lost everyone and he's under the impression that TTJ has never loved YXW. YQY wants to put YXW to rest and set her free. In my opinion, he views TTJ keeping YXW there as cruel and if he does love her then he would let her go and also, not die with her. Someone has to rule the kingdom. I'm wondering if YQY will end up taking over just by looking at pictures I've seen of him with white hair and he's not in his usual style of clothing. It looks a little fancier. It would make sense for him to take over if TTJ decides to step down.
I'm sure that someone has asked this question before, since it has been a few episodes, but I'm confused. When YBC first wakes up from the dream, how is, I'm assuming that's the demon God, talking to her? I mean, he's always just talked to TTJ. I mean, he can do whatever he wants, but he seemed to be only interested in TTJ. Why is he having a chat with YBC after she comes out of the dream? Is she a backup plan? From what I've read, regarding the novel, she doesn't have a big role in the immortal storyline, but I think the writers changed that in the drama. Anyone have any thoughts? This has just been bugging me.
I do like this dream arc. The thing that I don’t like about it is that SJ is extremely naive. Let’s just believe everything this goddess believes who you barely know. I’m also just upset with MY because he spared TH after she killed so many innocent people. I know that he thought that it was a fair trade to get the crystal to bring back SJ’s people for TH’s life, but SJ was right. This is not a transaction. That witch deserves to be killed. I was so happy happy when SJ killed TH. TH was still running her mouth in the end saying how “oh, you think you and MY can be together after you do this?” I had to laugh when TH brought up MY because SJ doesn’t care about that. She even said, to him, there isn’t room for him in her heart because of all the vengeance and anger. He is the last thing on her mind. I am, possibly, part demon because I am on SJ’s side at the end of the episode. When she said that she was going to kill every member of that tribe, I did not feel upset over that. At this point, an eye for an eye. I guess that’s how that artifact is made, judging from the trailer for tomorrow’s episode. I’m a touch nervous after they get out of the dream. It’s just from a theory and things that have been said in previous episodes and from the FAQ discussion thread here. According to the discussion thread, the dream is not everyone’s past lives. That’s in the book, but they may have changed that in the drama. Let’s just go by the book. How does the dream choose who is playing what role? I feel like it goes by who they are as people. As we have seen in the dream, the former devil god looks like TTJ, but TTJ also plays the role of MY. I feel like that’s the other side of TTJ if he had been born with love strings. MY is the person he yearned to be, as we’ve previously seen in TTJ’s dream. TTJ wants to be respected and powerful, which MY is. SS becoming SJ makes sense, in a way, because of her origin that was spoiled form me in the discussion thread as well. So it makes sense that she would be SJ, an innocent clam that practiced immortal cultivation then ended up turning into a devil because of the death of her entire clan. I’m more concerned with YBC. She became someone who was, as MY said, worse than a devil. TH was so selfish and entitled that it boggled my mind that no one didn’t notice the red flags sooner. That being said, I recall something that YXW said in a previous episode. She complained that YBC was in her room faking being weak. I thought that she was just being petty and jealous. Now, after watching the dream sequence these past episodes, I’m not too sure. YBC also just does not care about other people besides herself. Great example is her wedding when she wanted her husband to forget about the people that were being attacked by crows stay with her. There is just way more to her than meets the eye and who knows what she is capable of in the long run. I could be completely wrong about all of this, the writers could’ve also changed things, but these are just my thoughts.
I picked this drama up recently. I just finished watching episode 37 and I'm waiting for the rest to be available on YouTube or viki. I know that they are all out, but it's just easier to watch them on those platforms. I don't regret watching this drama, but why did they have to kill Tang Lian? I cried for all the episodes that it was brought up. I couldn't stop crying for so long. The banquet turned funeral scene got me crying all over again. He was one of my favorite characters in this entire drama, but they killed him off. Why?! Anyway, I can't wait to see how it ends. I've been enjoying this drama more than I thought that I would.
Can all my dramas just not put me through an emotional beating for once?! I'm watching The Blood of Youth, so if you've already watched the episodes that are available you know what I'm talking about. I don't understand on this drama why they felt the need to kill off Mu Yu. I cried so hard when he died. I actually started getting choked up when he bowed to her while she was sleeping. I had a feeling that he wasn't coming back. I just wanted him to be there until the end! Is that too much to ask? All of these dramas just need to give my emotions a break. Stop killing off my favorites!
I know that we've already seen the effects that heart poison has on people in previous episodes. I was just shocked when LYF went all "If you have to die, I have to be the one to kill you." LYF is kind of scaring me right now. I don't want to call it love, at present, because I feel heart poison makes his feelings for Chong Zi more of an obsession. His obsession is going to consume him before he can accomplish his goal if he's not careful. I don't trust Mu Yu. I know that he seems to have some form of feelings for Chong Zi, but he's been on his mission for hundreds of years. I doubt that he'll stop with his original mission over his feelings for Chong Zi. That's not a good enough reason to throw away hundreds of years of effort. Even though, I love the chemistry between Mu Yu and Chong Zi, I can't trust him. I can't wait for tomorrow. The wedding should be interesting.
Todays episodes had my mouth hanging open. I predicted that things would be coming to head in the next couple of episodes, but I did not expect this. I do have to chastise LYF about the necklace. He should've used something else for the evil breath. That necklace was way too flimsy since it came off easily twice. Now everyone knows that Chong Zi is the original Chong Zi. Then, after they find out about Chong Zi, the one immortal back tracks and says how he doesn't want to kill Chong Zi. Excuse me? In her previous life, and in this one, all you have been doing is shouting for her to be killed. It's too late to backtrack. I know that the man in the hood, that works with the demons, is Mu Yu. There is no doubt in my mind. I would've never guessed that Yan Zhenzhu was a demon, and not just a demon, but the demon that was giving Chong Zi nightmares. I should've suspected it just by how she accepted Chong Zi the second time around so quickly. Here is a girl that LYF took in as a disciple, after he killed his first one who was your best friend. Then he gives her the exact same name of your dead best friend and yet you want to be best friends with this girl. Even the nicest people would have a hard time doing something like that. I should've seen it. The wait for tomorrow's episode is going to be torture! I want to see what Chong Zi is going to do once she becomes a demon. She will, obviously, make the immortals suffer for what they put her through. How she will do that is the question.
(This demons)Didn't they want Chong Zi?why they were always targeting her?
Sorry about that. I meant if they wanted her now. They do want her, but I think it's all about timing. There was a comment made by Wang Yue after Chong Zi died. He said that the previous demon king didn't become a demon until he lived three lives. I think it will only take these two lives because of how everything is repeating itself. I may be wrong.
Loving this drama so far. WZC is fantastic in his role. He needs to do roles like this more often. I like him in his other roles, but I'm just loving him in this role. Anyway, onto the ranting. The immortals anger me in this drama. They never want to investigate anything, especially the one immortal. If it has to do with Chong Zi, in either of her lives, he points the finger at her. What upsets me the most is that it is said, multiple times, that it's better to kill someone by accident than let them go by accident. What kind of logic is that, immortals? That makes you as bad as the demons. I also have been yelling at the immortals because they're stupid for thinking that killing Chong Zi would solve everything. No, dummies! That is exactly what the demons want you to do. Why else would Chong Zi not be with the demons? I'm sure they knew where she was before she met any of the immortals. They could've taken her at anytime. I think I've figured out who the spy is for the demons. It all makes sense and they are so blind for not seeing it, but he has been with them for years, and he doesn't have evil breath. I have a feeling Chong Zi is going to go full on demon in the next couple episodes. I mean, they were looking for any excuse to kill her in this current episode. Now there is going to be a trial coming up, which is unnecessary. Last time, Chong Zi was pushed over the edge because of how they treated her and they destroyed Chu Bu Fu's primordial spirit right in front of her. This time, just judging from the trailer for the series, it looks like LYF is going to push her over the edge. I don't know how that happens because I can't read the book. It was probably a misunderstanding regarding the heart poison, which LYF should tell her about so that she'll know why he's avoiding her and isolating himself. Anyway, that's the end of my rant. As I have said, I'm loving this drama and I can't wait for the upcoming episodes.
