I don't think he's going to be able to interact with him directly. I think the show is giving us a clue with Gwiju passing the bouquet to Do Da Hae who is then able to carry the bouquet into the real world. Any interaction he has with his hyung has to be mediated through her

The Bok family is so problematic. Remember when the father says that the mother wants Do Da Hae for the same reason she chose him, she has no family to cause trouble if something goes wrong. That legit gave me chills.

She was definitely in the school and the reason why I know this is because when you see the explosion on the 5th floor it's in color while everything else is black and white. Also they have a quick shot of the storage room on fire and the flames are in color.
Did anyone else feel the timing for the first kiss simply BAD?? Like, there was no reason for them to kiss at…
I see a lot of people confused about the kiss because they are used to kisses happening when the leads are acknowledging their romantic feelings for each other but in this drama the kiss is a challenge, he's like I know that somehow I'm tangled up with you but I don't trust you so let the games begin.
Also I see a lot of people saying the mother is stupid but she's crazy like a fox, she has powers and senses that the FL is somehow the key to the family regaining everything they've lost, she's not operating out of naivete. If anything the FL should be scared of her because she's legitimately dangerous, that's why Ina is telling her to run away.
I like that this show is so sex positive and shows negotiation and consent without being boring about it. For example, Yoryak asking for another round and Wandee saying yes but next time he wants Yoryak to play with him longer. It's refreshing to see partners asking for what they want and focusing on pleasing each other.
I really wanted to like this show but the good actors can't overcome bad writing and directing. The drama is like a can of warm, flat soda. Dropping after ep 5. Hope Go Kyung Pyo, Kang Han Na and Joo Jong Hyuk get better projects next time.
I have begun my re-watch w/notebook in hand but "little girl with the dog'"? I don't recall that scene. Please…
The first happy memory Gwiju returned to was winning the fish but if the Tumblr theories hold what he was really returning to was Dahae. But it doesn't explain why the little girl was in black and white.
We also have the animated sequence that seems to say that Gwiju's powers won't fully manifest until he joins forces with Dahae. Also, the story about the shape shifting woman seems to allude to her grifting but maybe also is a hint that she has powers too. The mother keeps talking about Dahae's energy and unlike other people I don't think the mother is naive or a sucker.
The Atypical Family is at #6 for Netflix's global top 10 (TV Non-English) with 2 million views this week. Happy this show is getting love even with so many people dragging the FL here and on Reddit.
I'm not losing my mind over this drama the way most people are but I get why it's a hit. It's simply a show that executes tropes really well with a very appealing cast. Byeon Woo Seok in particular is killing his character. I don't normally go for shows that are this tropey but he's completely selling me on "insanely gorgeous and famous man who is forever in love with his high school crush" and that's a feat because the character as written isn't remotely plausible.
I don't get why people are hating on the fl. She is the least of my worries in this drama. I am more annoyed by…
I don't think the family is ignorant. The mother has a gut instinct about Dahae and her role in the family which is accurate despite the scamming. That's why she trusts her even with the warning signs about something shady going on. Her husband trusts Dahae because he follows his wife's lead. Gwiju is drawn to Dahae but he's suspicious of her as well. Dong Hee doesn't trust her or like her. Ina read Dahae's mind so she knows what's up but doesn't really care because she's been neglected by the family for so long. It's also why Ina warned Dahae to run away while she can.
is this drama worth watching? im in a kdrama slump..will this drama be able to make me go to the next episode?
It's my favorite drama of the year so far and definitely one of the most unique dramas I've seen. It's got an unpredictable storyline, really interesting characters and the cinematography and OST are excellent. The acting is on point too.
I love the FL actress. I think she' got great micro-expressions that really capture what she is thinking and feeling.…
Her reactions in the kitchen scene when the mother asks her about the jjimjilbang were amazing, her face showed everything she was thinking and feeling
Someone said that they're mad they put a skinny lady to play the ML sister. Ok... how are they going to make an…
I hated how the character was portrayed in the first two episodes (constantly eating junk food and getting crumbs on herself) but then we had the scene with Grace helping her at the gym and now she's showing how smart and observant she is. I also liked what the scummy boyfriend said about her, yes he was a bastard but he was insightful in saying she used to soar and her current state wasn't about her weight, it was about being emotionally weighed down.
I know this is going to be an unpopular opinion but I'm frustrated at this point. Wooseok, Hyesoo and Gyeonhee all had wonderful moments in this episode but the serial killer is ridiculous. Unstoppable and all we know about him is he wants to kill Sol. And Sol's actions made no sense. If she didn't want to involve Seonjae, why not tell Taesung what's going on so she can get his help and even help from his father?
Plus there were so many filler scenes with the father and I fast forward through every scene with the brother and friend.
Also, Sol is 34 years old and she could go back any time and she's got this insanely gorgeous man trying to get close to her. Is she really going to be coy about sharing a room with him? Yes I know this is a sweet and innocent drama but she's behaving as if she's really 19, not a grown woman who's time traveled.
We've got four more episodes, is it just going to be four more episodes of the Terminator going after Sol?
One good thing that I loved: they didn't put a lot of makeup on BWS this episode and the man is so beautiful with a clean face, I basically spent the episode just staring at him
So true,And when you wrote: because these things seem to matter in Korea >>> that was spot on / Perfect!!!(Only…
Unfortunately the stigma against orphans is real. It's why Korea sent 200,000 children to be adopted overseas in the decades after the Korean War. It was a government policy to solidify good relations with the US and other Western nations and to rid the country of the economic burden of caring for orphans since there was a stigma against adopting orphaned children https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/International_adoption_of_South_Korean_children#Orphans
