I agree with both of you. The biggest sin for me is we never came back around to the deaths of Ye Bun's mother and grandfather after all the agony she and us as the audience went through when that was unraveling

If Seonwoo had told Ye-bun on the phone about the knife then she never would've walked to the woodworking shop and alerted the shaman. Or even before that, when he first started suspecting the shaman he could've told Ye-bun and Jang-yeol. So he made bad choices too. But the only person responsible for his death is the shaman.

Agree with all your points and I will add I doubt we get a proper final moment between our chaotic couple which is really too bad because I love them together. But I also rate this the best drama I've seen this year. When it was really hitting it was absolutely brilliant.

The opening scene is the FL's mother's dead body being pulled out of the ocean and there are a lot of clues that the story is going to get very dark. And the darkness came on gradually, increasing steadily as the story progressed. So not out of nowhere. I think people just are used to things like Crash Course in Romance where the crime is off to the left and the focus is on the romance.

I liked that they killed important characters because their deaths were meaningful. It really hurt when Gwangsik and Seonwoo died because we got to know them and get attached to them. So I give the writers credit for being willing to go there. Having said that, if they kill Ok-hui I will flip the fuck out 😭😭😭

Very definitely yes. He supports the FL through something terrible and really shines in those episodes.

It doesn't take a sharp dive, people are complaining about plot holes but it's still gripping and the performances are solid. I have a few complaints but I still absolutely love the show
