So RongRong made Qin Zhenzhen her bodyguard wearing a mask? (Ep13 mask girl behind RongRong) I really hope nobody…
I thought the part where SGY was saying her new guard looks familiar and LR ushered her out as fast as she could was pretty funny. Anyone who's seen QZZ should be able to recognize her easily 🤣. Except maybe crown prince who appears as innocent as a lamb.
She felt relieved seeing SRQ being well in this life. It's normal to have some bond between them, at least he…
I also find it obvious. Even though it's a new lifetime, I feel that she still feels guilt towards him. And I do think she has feelings for SRQ, because after spending 17 years, who wouldn't? But love has a lot of different types. She might fancy the attention, but the one she loves as a lover is clearly PWX. She gets more angry, more disappointed when it's PWX, which is a sign to me that what he affects her more. I think she clearly has her guard up and is meaner to him because she's scared of the way he makes her feel and his past communication has confused her despite him being so forthcoming now. Also, in Ep 12 she clearly states that she just sees SRQ as a past companion she feels guilt towards. As someone who's been betrayed by her closest family and friends, I think it's normal for her not to jump head first into her relationship with PWX.
In ep 11, Li Rong remembers when she and PWX argued over his feelings for QZZ. He did not tell her what he told…
Someone told me what happened in the novel because I said I believe she loved PWX in both lives (not complaining because I actually love spoilers). However, it tainted my impression of her a little bit, but I'm hoping they strip that from the drama and don't even "hint" at it. I'm watching it from the lens of the drama version of LR. From what I've seen so far in the drama, I still think what she feels for SRQ is guilt and decades of companionship. Even if you know they betrayed you, it's not easy to just turn off the love you feel for someone who's been by your side for like 20 years.
I think she feels the need to be logical in every thing she does because of her upbringing but also to protect her brother, who seems to act on emotion. PWX has mostly given her mixed signals in their past lives. Even then he has said they have a mutual benefit relationship and that they're allies. While she believed that he did like her, I don't think she ever knew he whole heartedly only loved her until Ep 11. Now that PWX has directly communicated his feelings without hiding it behind some other snarky comment, I think her walls will start coming down.
I'm glad PWX laid it all out there and poured his heart out! I could feel my heart racing along with that confrontation in the rain 😭. The way he explained that she always has to use logic to solve every obstacle she encounters even when it's matters of the heart paints a good picture of her character for me and why she acts the way she acts. As someone who grew up in the palace, a descendant of a prominent family, she's been trained a certain way. The fact that she apologized and admitted that she's used to reacting that way is great growth. I can't wait to see these two fall in love again 🥰.
i stopped watching it for 1 day and know i forgot everything😭 can someone explain to me why they dont want…
My interpretation... QZZ is a free spirit and really not made for palace life. They don't want her to go through that again. Princess probably also doesn't want to see her brother devasted by her death again.
I don't think the male lead was truly in love with QZZ but they're childhood friends so must be some feelings there. It seems like male lead truly loved the princess, but communication is neither of their strong suits.
(1) I have a hard time believing ZJM is scheming mostly because I think she looks like Cottonball from the Secret…
I hope they cut that part out of the drama. I agree with novel readers that she doesn't deserve him. He also lacks pride for forgiving her. Although with these time travel/rebirth dramas, she technically didn't cheat yet in her second life.... I don't know 😭 I don't love that part.
Wow didnt know it was initially slated for bad end... so glad it was changed🥰😍https://x.com/afterrnoont/status/1806744674297942057?t=OGYaitL9TcpJ42en5c-tSA&s=19
well that would've made the final battle have a more logical ending but I'm glad it was changed to a happy ending. I just wished he cut out a few minutes earlier so that Wen Ji and Lu Ji was also alive 😭

Oh no 😭! I had no idea about what happened in the novel. No wonder PWX doesn't think the princess loves him. I don't know if I can like this FL if that is what's happened... Did PWX actually love QZZ in the book? I don't feel that's enough reason to cheat on your husband 😭😭😭
(1) I have a hard time believing ZJM is scheming mostly because I think she looks like Cottonball from the Secret…
I remember her saying she has princess disease. I just see that she's capable of being very kind, so I would like her to move past her misunderstanding with PWX. He's proven multiple times now that he has her best interest in mind. Although his words sometimes mislead her to think otherwise. It just goes back to the communication thing. I'm hoping Ep 11 resolves a lot of this!
As for LR and SRQ, I don't think what LR feels for SRQ is love. It is guilt for what happened to his family and the decades of friendship.
I just finished the first 10 episodes and had some random thoughts I wanted to share with internet strangers.…
(1) I have a hard time believing ZJM is scheming mostly because I think she looks like Cottonball from the Secret Life of Pets. Not a dig on her acting, but more so she just looks way too adorable. (2) It seems obvious to me that SRQ also time traveled. I hope he makes better choices this time. Just prevent your family's tragedy, don't go overboard, please. (3) I don't really understand why PWX can't just tell to the princess that he only cared for QZZ out of responsibility. His explanation of not being able to let her go yet makes things more confusing. (4) I like their cute banter and how petty they are, but I need the princess to drop her ego ASAP. She's still very mean to him even though she realizes he's not the one that poisoned her. (5) They both really need to communicate. I hate hearing their voice overs in their head of stuff they should be saying out loud to each other. I'm not a huge fan of conflict created by miscommunication. I like leads that actually talk things out. (6) I don't know if it's just me, but I find a lot of the side characters acting very green. As someone who just came from watching The Double, where everyone was either a good or great actor, this one feels a bit short.
even the apparent happy ending in the form of the fan servicey extra episode that I'm usually very much into,…
I share your viewpoints. I'm still mad about it and it's been days. The last 15 or so minutes really left a bad taste in my mouth. Ep 1-35 were solid. The last 5 felt so rushed. I blame 40 episode rule.
I completely get that it's a happy ending. But the way they made the battle scene was just beyond logic for me.
This is not a dream. He killed the soldier's commander so the people on horsebacks dropped their weapon. He suvived…
I don't want to kill him at all! I absolutely hate sad endings. I don't think it was a dream he came back. I just wish that battle scene, even though it was beautifully shot, never happened. I also wanted Wen Ji and Lu Ji to survive, and have families of their own. Wen Ji and Situ Jiu Yue were such a cute bickering couple. I wish I could erase their deaths from my memory 😭
This is not a dream. He killed the soldier's commander so the people on horsebacks dropped their weapon. He suvived…
To be clear again, I understand their intention is that it's a happy ending and I've read their statements saying so. So yes, it's a happy ending. That doesn't mean I think the plot is logical. We'll just have to agree to disagree.
Also, I know there's been a lot of back and forth. I want to make sure you don't think I'm being negative. I respect your opinion. Everyone's perspective and interpretation is different and that's okay.

I love that we're talking about Art of War 🥰. I will still have to respectfully disagree that the examples you provided are different. With Wen Ji, he wasn't a lone stander. He still had reinforcements and soldiers by his side.
Yes, soldiers must obey their commander. In the same text link you sent me, they also say "If fighting is sure to result in victory, then you must fight, even though the ruler forbid it; if fighting will not result in victory, then you must not fight even at the ruler's bidding." In Xiao Heng's case, they clearly would've won because he's the lone man on the field.
The other excerpts you included don't support an entire army surrendering because one man defeated their commander/ruler. For example, Li Shi Min still had an army. The excerpt you're referencing is more about the fact that he leveraged terrain to get an advantage over the rebels to successfully defeat them. If two army's strength are equal and one has the upper hand in terrain, that army will with the upper hand will win. It doesn't say that the rebels retreated in that passage. But rather, if you know your enemy is in an advantageous location, the strategy is to retreat your troops and try to lure the opposing army from their advantageous location.
Also to be clear, I understand that Yu Zheng said this is a happy ending. However, I think the way they ended that final battle makes it very hard to believe anyone would have survived. Instead they should have shown Xiao Heng defeating them or getting reinforcements rather than making him seem super human by having him survive against an entire army. I am still of the camp that that final battle was all for shock factor (and WXY looks amazing in it), I need to toss all logic aside to believe the archers after killing Wen Ji didn't not shoot at XH immediately after.
