Person Eguchi Yosuke
I liked him in Chase- he had an effortlessly strong presence on screen there- he was like tailored to the role-and…
Yes, exactly - a man of many talents! I looked him up on youtube and I'm listening to a nice song right now. :) Now I'm curious about his poetry!! (Oh how I wish I could read Japanese...) I'm currently watching him in Dinner. I also liked him in Iki mo dekinai natsu. The first time I saw him was in Chase. I'm definitely keeping an eye on his roles from now on.

Hm, there's no review for this drama! I should have written one after I watched it. I don't think I can do it…
I disagree about the "better review" part; yours is excellent. :)

I have not watched a single one of these, but you describe them very well so I feel that I know what to watch and not. Thanks for the excellent reviews. I have two questions. First, because I don't know anything about Korean things; what exactly is a gumiho? I've seen the word so many times but all I know is that it's some kind of supernatural creature. Second, you say that you like vampire stories, so can you recommend a vampire drama that you enjoyed?

Aha, okej.

This sounds like a lovely drama. You have done a good job with this article!
ETA: I read the synopsis after reading this; that alone wouldn't have caught my interest, but I might watch this thanks to your article.

Hey, I just wanted to say that your review of Dinner convinced me to start watching it - and I'm so glad that I did! :)

Who else likes this? I'm only on episode 4, but I really enjoy it a lot so far. It's warm and cute and the cooking scenes are not disappointing!

I like Ezaki-san, he's so strict and serious but becomes excited like a kid when he's experimenting with a new recipe! Also, he's pro-gender equality. If this was a romance drama (I'm totally not expecting it but also wouldn't mind it if it happens later), he wouldn't be one of those possessive and mean kind of types, he'd be the "I want to do the right thing!" kind of guy, although he'd have very high standards and wouldn't think of love like a game. (But what am I doing, should I be writing fanfic instead of comments?!)

You're right, I did see a lot of nicer pics. It's interesting how much difference the styling can make for a person. And yeah, photoshopped pictures, of course... it's too bad that they do that.

*lol* So true! I'll keep that in mind...

Thanks! :) Actually, I like your pictures better than the ones on their proile pages. Now I know where to look next time I want to watch something Korean. I see that Uhm Jung Hwa is in some movie titles that I have noticed while reading stuff on here.

You're lucky, there are so many people who like to swoon with you there; I seem to always go for the ones with a smaller fanbase! *lol*

Okay, question time (I should sleep but I don't want to). Pictures, men: middle section, right column, third from the bottom... who's that? Ladies: the first one on the left and the last one on the left, are they single?!... uh, I mean, who are they?

This a great article, please give us more! :) I often google food I see in dramas, but so far I haven't tried…
Yeah, I'll try one of these days. Although my top priority is to try to make sushi, I think the black bean stew comes second (I hope it will be tasty without meat). I've never seen black bean paste, but I googled and found out there's a store in my town that sells "Thai and Asian" products, the owner also runs a restaurant, maybe they'll have it there. But I've noticed that many "normal" grocery stores here are getting a wider selection of non-European products.

P.S. I checked out your profile and I see that you are very good at writing reviews. :) I think this drama definitely deserves a review from somebody who has recently watched it.

I share your opinion. You express it very well, so you should definitely write a review. I felt the same way, I wasn't sure I would like it when I started it (it was my third drama ever, and Arata was the reason I wanted to watch it) but as we know, it was actually good. I find that a problem with stories that build heavily on Hero/Antagonist is that characters can be very one-dimensional, but it becomes interesting when the antagonist is well-fleshed out.

I haven't seen any version of Hana Kimi, except for a few minutes from the first ep of the Japanese one back when I didn't know anything about Asian drama... it didn't make me interested enough to keep watching. Of course I've heard about the story since then, but I've never felt any desire to watch it. Until now. I think you've provided me with good reasons to give the Taiwanese version a try sometime.
