I loved this series!! I wanted to recap it but just can't find the time! Michiko is my GIRL!! Kondo Shinobu is…
I wasn't sure about Kondo at first, because he reminded me of another Fujiki Naohito character that I didn't like (in the drama Yako no kaidan; the characters in that one were very one-dimensional) but I actually like Kondo so I'm relieved. Before I began watching S2 I also had hopes of a romance, but I don't know... I think this drama is good enough without that kind of romance!
I agree that watching Season 1 first helps you understand Michiko! (That's why I was in a rush to complete it before S2 aired, because I hadn't heard of Doctor X before I read about the second season.)
Thanks for the article !!! I absolutely loved series 1 although the clubbing scenes were blizzard !!!! I am waiting…
I'm glad you liked my article, I'm happy to know more people like this drama!
Thank you so much for explaining about the melon! I've seriously been puzzled by it. I figured it must mean something, but it's not something you can guess just like that, so I appreciate the clarification.
I was so glad to see Uchida Yuki's character return! It's such an interesting partnership between two complex…
Yes! I have watched so many romance dramas (or romantic dramas) lately where women are either rivals or mostly just talk about men, so I find this refreshing.
I liked the first season a lot. I'm glad to know the 2nd season is good too. Will watch it when it's finished…
I watched episode 6 recently, so if this season isn't a lot longer than the first, you won't have to wait a long time to watch it. :) Hope you'll like it.
Thanks for this article. I am also enjoying this season which I think is a really good sequel to the first one…
Thanks for reading! Yes, I can sort of see the House parallel, because just like him, Michiko knows the answer when nobody else does, and she's proud of it. But not really, since Dr House is very interested in his co-workers personal lives, their pasts and secrets etc, while Michiko couldn't care less about what her co-workers do on their free time. She's also not as mean and less self-centered - House would never agree to work for Akira like she does! But yes, I also love her rebel side. I was happy when I first started watching this drama because so far I've never seen a woman like her in a j-drama!
It depends on what you like, but I think the reviews are pretty accurate. If the reviews sound like something you'd be interested in, then yes, it's worth watching!
Okay,I know that k-dramas generally are longer than j-dramas, but I've been thinking for a while that this is wayyyy too long. For how long are they going to keep doing this "Do you like me - I don't like you! - Fine, then I don't like you either! - But don't go seeing other men! - Get lost, you jerk! - Fine, I'll leave!" etc... This has been going on foreeeeveeer. So, in this episode, he finally confessed that he does like her... then why are there FIVE more episodes before it's over?! I'm getting a bad feeling about this... the problems are obviously not over yet.
Also, the two men in Sam Soon's life are the worst jerks ever. It's unbelievable! The ex is the worst, but the boss isn't a lot better.
I like some things, though. :) Sam Soon is a good character.
The sister and the chef are kinda fun. They remind me of the sister and the chef in Rich Man Poor Woman.
I enjoy this a lot, so far - after 2 episodes. I think it feels like the characters and their interaction are more interesting this season. Also, Fujiki Naohito is in it - and his character seems to be more interesting than the young doctor who looked up to her in S1. And, Michiki is as awesome as always, Jonouchi is still there, and the melons are still coming... :) I don't get why he always give them melons, but if that's the way it is.... lol.

I like your new profile, I wouldn't have the patience to find all those gifs...
What you say about Taiwanese dramas makes me curious (I've never watched one), I'd be willing to try one for those reasons. ;) What's your recommendation?

Thank you! I wrote my review almost immediately after watching the last episode so I didn't spend a lot of time thinking about what to write, so I'm very glad you liked it.
I was thinking, maybe I had too high expectations on this one and maybe I judge it too harshly, but on the other hand... even if I'm not a drama veteran like some people, I've seen enough to understand that it could have been so much better. Even a romance drama with very little romance can have a lot of feeling... The kid who died was just there to make us cry, but... I did not, so yes, it was a waste of screentime.
This movie is not bad, in my opinion. The ending and some parts of it are a bit weird, but that doesn't make it bad, and not really hard to understand, either. I thought it was pretty sweet, actually. It's about a "different" guy who lives his life to the best of his ability and finds a glimpse of unexpected happiness.
of course!everything is the mother's fault! ;P but seriously I think it's more the mindset that everything is…
Thank you! And yes, I agree with you; often, it seems like the fathers are less important... I don't know if it's because of the genres I watch, but I've been scratching my head over how gender roles are portrayed in dramas. Seen from that point of view, it's not a great mystery why I woman might want a different kind of life. (Still, it's strange how a woman can walk away from her child; I don't have kids, but I don't get it...)
Very interesting article, thumps up :)! As mentioned in other comments I also think that a tragic hero with some…
Yeah, I guess that's my problem: I wish it'd be more than a mere plot device. I haven't seen You're Beautiful, but it seems like it's one that many people like. Maybe I'll watch it. I haven't watched Nobody Knows yet either, but it has caught my attention.

Yeah, I see your point about the tragic hero. I guess there might be exceptions, but in general I don't really like it when the main character/main character's love interest is a jerk, even if there's a "reason" for it... that's just my preference.
I think it would be interesting, though, if the mother's point of view was fully explored in such a drama. That way, it would perhaps be possible to understand even this incomprehensable behaviour? I don't know...
Anyway, I'm glad you liked my article, thank you for reading and commenting!

I so agree about Makoto Natsui! <3 You have a very nice profile. :)
I've noticed this trope as well in various j-dramas and a few tw-dramas and it really bothers me. Worse than the…
I agree with Ether; thanks. And you remind me that I think it'd be helpful if writers were added to a drama's MDL page; I think sometimes it would be better to choose what to watch based on the writer than the actors. :) (Well, I'd probably sometimes watch things because of the cast anyway, but I think that the people behind the camera are very important, too! But I don't know any writer names, and I don't know if I have yet watched two dramas written by the same person...)
