Ruyi's still very naive on relationships, it's obvious she's attracted to NYZ from Day 1 (she faints into his arms) but doesn't know how to express it so she thinks of what her benefactor once said about "not falling in love with men but having kids" and decides to seek NYZ out as a sperm donor only bc the Empress said "don't fall in love". It's foolish but as NYZ told Yuan Lu, Ruyi hasn't learnt to follow her heart and was taught to follow orders all her life.

BUT anyone who isn't an emotionally stunted assassin like Ruyi can see that she likes NYZ romantically, even NYZ himself so he tries to convince her to have a real relationship with him first before thinking about babies 😂

Eventually Ruyi is forced to think about what she actually wants from a relationship (in ep 18 she tells NYZ that she doesn't want to live in seclusion together but wants to help other Scarlet Guard women) because as an assassin Ruyi has never thought about 1) What is Love 2) What do I want from a relationship 3) Do I want to marry and have a family? etc and due to her own growth arc, the baby may not happen at all once she realizes how silly it is to have a child just because someone she respects said so...

Keep in mind that LTG thinks Yang Ying is a male prince and doesn't know her gender so seeing his Teacher hug a male disciple so intimately made him jealous and upset because Ruyi treats LTG like they are strangers and pretends they don't know each other. He thought he got abandoned by Ruyi, that's why LTG threw tea on Ruyi's face in the trailer even though he knew it was wrong to do that to his Teacher. He was just super pissed lol

Well I find such gossipy discussions very distateful and some of you should delete your comments.

Nicky Wu gets a lot of hate from her fans & neutrals because he was divorced, deemed old & ugly, and "not good enough" for her and her fans hated that she took a break from acting to have their kid. Even recently cnetz keep speculating if she will divorce her "elderly" husband since she is still popular. LSS once said in reference to her marriage that "only the people inside a relationship know if they are happy or not" i.e. all the bad rumors about her marriage is useless.

IMO over the years it's obvious that LSS's real personality is VERY easygoing compared to other female stars e.g. her bestie Yangmi, she just isn't someone who divorces for frivolous reasons e.g. because her husband is old or if her fans dislike Nicky. There are a lot of videos about Yangmi's feud with Tangren Media and how Cecilia was caught in the middle as Yangmi's BFF but maintained good relations with her boss Karen Tsoi, Tangren's #1 artiste Hu Ge, and still is friendly with YangMi today despite a lot of friction in the past. Unlike Zhao Liying, Angelababy, Reyizha and YangMi she is someone who is clearly very loyal and placating to everyone around her so I doubt she will divorce Nicky even if their marriage goes stale. Even her fans say she is above all else, a dutiful person who will see promises and marriage vows something she needs to abide by faithfully above her individual desires, especially now that she has a kid. And as much as I hate gossip I do agree with Cecilia's Cfans assessment of her personality and why she isn't the type to get divorced.
