He was returned to power in a coup by his allies and his brother was deposed and killed, and by most accounts he was a good compassionate king who improved lives of women. AJTL is going to play out differently though
The journey to An takes a long time because there are many factions in the Wu state that don't want the Wu delegation to have a successful mission i.e. the Prince of Danyang who wants to be the new King. Even the Prime Minister doesn't care if the King dies but he wants the edict from the King that he will give power to his infant son so the Prime Minister can rule in his place.

Yes this exactly, if we don't get to know the team and side characters in the first 16 eps before they get to An State then it'll be hard to feel for them later on when they are just fighting for their lives in a war.

Surprisingly Cecilia hasn't starred in any in-house productions despite being a major investor but like Yangmi's old days at Jaywalk she's basically capable of buying her own novel rights or hiring her own scriptwriter to produce her own drama now.
