No! the FL was originally proposed to by her cousin Liu Yan but she ran away from him hahaha, and the ML's cousin is the pretty Zheng Chuyu played by Snow Kong.
She didn't evade taxes, someone accused her (apparently either an employee of her former company or her mother's ex boyfriend's relative who used to work in her team, iirc her parents divorced and her mother raised her herself) of tax irregularities and lodged a report at the Tax Bureau but she got investigated for almost 2 years and came out clean. It's meant to provide dramatic tension so the FL can show her scheming and smarts in convincing the ML not to kill her family and protect them. Novel reader here.

Agreed, the original title of the show ่ดตๅฅณ aka Noble Lady is meant as a reference to the fact that noble women and even royal women were just pawns to be discarded after being used to gain their family/husband/father/brother influence e.g. marriage alliances. When Hanyan's father first met her after she returned the countryside he immediately thought "here is another pawn I can use" hence he welcomed her while her mother tried to make her leave.

That's idiotic, this is a TV drama that needs a plot no? She doesn't know her Dad is evil and corrupt, thus she follows his instructions and tries to save him and her family because that's what any child would do. Even if he's evil and corrupt it doesn't make sense for everyone to die with him, her siblings and mother are innocent. Plus the FL finally gets the acceptance of her family that she always wanted and the status of a legitimate daughter, it's written to show that she went from despised to treasured.
Ep12-13 is essentially a plot device to expose evil Dad's true colors (he probably kills her mother out of revenge soon which is necessary to show the FL who she can trust), if her entire family died in ep 13 she'd be mourning their deaths for years without knowing that Dad doesn't deserve sympathy and was behind her miserable adoptive life.
Now Fu Yunxi is offering to help her take down her father and I suspect Daddy Zhuang accidentally killed his eldest daughter with poison that was meant for Fu Yunxi (he also took the poison but survived and is ill) because Yunxi was investigating their corruption. I suspect he likely married her elder sister to Fu Yunxi just as a means to poison him but failed and didn't care if she died.

According to some spoilers predictions her mom hates her father and his godfather Pei for plotting to ruin and cause the deaths of her family just so she'd be forced to marry a lower status husband like him (she's said so, e.g. ไธๅซไธไฝ ), then apparently her husband broke her legs because she tried to run away? Her dad took a concubine and makes her clean up after his dirty deeds and crimes, his main wife is extremely vigilant against her husband in order to prevent her servants from being harmed and she sent her daughter away because she's worried she'd be abused or used by her dad like other women in the family. Her mom doesn't send anything to her and transferred her out of the family registrybecause she hopes she will never come back and be safe even if her father's crimes get found out someday.

My interpretation watching the show is that the ML Fu Yunxi knew he was once betrothed to Hanyan long ago (despite marrying the eldest daughter of concubine Zhou he probably checked and kept tabs on Hanyan since he knows of her poor treatment in the countryside) thus he tried to help her now that she's back perhaps because he knew she suffered and tried to be nice since they were once bethrothed. Plus he suspected she killed her adopted parents.
