There is no such thing as too early as good opportunities don't knock twice and most S+ dramas flop. S+ is no guarantee for success, all the S+ dramas like Anle, Longest Promise, Fireworks got very bad reviews or average viewership in China. It's like saying Xiao Zhan or Wang Yibo were too new to star in S+ Untamed and should have been small side characters. The drama would have flopped otherwise. Also this summer in China proves that many liuliangs are overrated, Yangyang got criticised for his acting as a firefighter despite being very experienced. Casting actors who fit the role is more sensible.

The fact Xiaoyao successfully put the bug on Xuan is because Xuan has feelings in his heart for his lost cousin Xiaoyao despite not knowing who Xiaoliu is, and the fact Xiaoyao successfully shifted the bug onto Xiangliu proves Xiangliu has feelings in his snake 💚 for Xiaoyao! Awwww

Re: why Xiangliu let Xiaoyao go unconscious when Xuan got hit by the arrow, he didn't want her to feel the pain of the arrow because 1. to a bigger extent he didn't want her to know and rush to save Xuan (dumbass should have kept Xiaoyao instead of letting her go home!) 2. To a small extent he didn't want her to feel pain.

In the book, Jing knows she's a woman because she got shy when he bathed but he later says due to his power he can see a faceless form so he fell in love with her despite not knowing her true face.
Xiang Liu also knows she's female because she sang and attracted that Feifei creature that responds to women's sad voices, he probably heard her singing. He told her in the water and said he knows she has a fake body. XL confirms it when told the voodoo bug Xiaoyao wanted to put on him was a lovers' voodoo bug that had to be placed by a woman. So he too liked her despite not knowing what she looked like.

It's too reductive and early to hate on Xiangliu now, lets just say that he paid back with interest later on for every time he bit Xiaoyao and it wasn't even the time he died.

In the novel she was brainwashed and bullied for years when training on that mountain that her father is not the King and her mother cheated with a General so she is an illegitimate child and not a princess. She probably believed it and thought it was why she was sent away. Her half siblings also bully her by calling her dead mom a sl*t later on in the book.

Yup they hold a lot of novel rights. Not sure if this is easy to adapt though, because it's not a Xianxia (Stellar's main speciality) but a historical setting 落地古偶 which they haven't done before.

Agreed, Stellar Media hold the novel rights and they adapted LBFAD well by improving the DFQC character despite the original novel ML being extremely evil and hateful.

The rumored leads are just rumors though, Stellar's schedule is full so this will be filmed Q4 or 2024 and the script probably isn't done yet.
