Anyways this is like one of the most complete drama i have ever seen. Although i do wish they could have done more for the ending but atleast it is not a SE and their journey alone compensated for everything. Have talked a lot about our couple but honestly let me also praise the supporting cast. Every other person in the drama no matter how small their character or part is , it left an impression on me. Like all of them were important in their own way even the snake spirit as well as Ziyue and those cute looking monsters. Normally i do not pay much attention to side characters as most of the dramas have them act like fillers serving no purpose for the plot progression. Kudos to the director, writer and the ensemble cast pulling it off well.
The drama may be light hearted but come to think of it, every main character had a tragic fate at some point which left them all alone or made them witness annihilation of their people.
1. Dragon King : Apart from him being dismembered, the innocent elves died saving him.
2. Yanhui: Abandoned by parents and in the end massacre at chengxing with her shifu gone
3. Bai Xiaosheng: Abandoned by mom and his tribe while young and later on his whole clan perishes(not sure if it was him who killed them or dark aura influenced him)
4.Xiange : Orphan, who once again lost her adoptive parents
5. Feng Quansho: Uncle killed his family and spared only him. Later on he took revenge.
6. Zhuli: Mother died long ago, sister and father killed by the same person.
7. Huan xiaoyan: The only remaining member of phantom clan.
Despite so many tragedies they always made us smile 🥺

I remember here some people were upset that YH was not acting like a heart protector and it's always ty saving her, hope they see the second half(although even in first half yh was never totally dependent on him)

I have a similar doubt. I get it that she reversed the yu ming fu back to huxin because evil and righteousness are naturally interchangeable. But why did she die..maybe someone who is fluent in Chinese can explain
