I mean, did we really think they would correct the bad writting in one episode when even well written show have trouble closing their plot properly when they decide to resolve everything in the last episode?
7.5 is the max I'll give to this one
(did I lie when I said the actor for WYW's brother was good? anyway, go watch him in The King of Pigs)

This show followed hometown chacha’s path as it became a boring cheap romance cringefest ever since the FL started…
If they wanted to make the show about her autism they could have done that waaaay better, but it seems like they just add it to the plot to be different knowing their plot is as weak as most kdramas that follow the same trope

It's not just this one, even the road one "oh hold on, the road is public" really ?? That's how you win your case…
yesss hahahaa I forgot about that ! it should have been the first thing written in her defense book

100% agree, plot wise, this show is a mess lol.First of all, they handle criminal cases and corporate cases and…
"it just made everyone involved dumb by not looking up the obvious relevant information and laws about them"
Exactly ! especially the senior attorney. How do you have decades of experience and can't solve the case with everything you have learned but a rookie quoting one article of whatever law can?

And yes, every lawyer knows the law, when a case is presented to them, with the little information they have and their knowledge of the law, they know if the party they represent have a winable case or not straight away, they don't win at the very end because they suddenly remember the law. They gamble on being able to find evidence to maybe bend the law their way. It always comes from evidences like you said. Using just the law the way they do is like using pure sirup that needs to be disolved in water. No depth, just "oh article blabla says that so there it is". Sorry but no lol that's not how it works.
It's very childish, very simplified. I guess for people who haven't seen much drama focused on law it must be credible ?

Anybody else have a feeling that for a law drama cases were rather weak and almost all of them revolved around…
100% agree, plot wise, this show is a mess lol.
First of all, they handle criminal cases and corporate cases and civil cases and it's just not realistic? Normally you specialise in one (at least in my country and most countries). For her to know all of the codes and all because of her memory is very good but any lawyer with experience usually know the law they specialise in, since they read and learned the book many times before (especially the senior attorneys) so it's not that much of an extraordinary gift, at least not in the way they are using it. Her gift (perfect memory) was very useful in that one episode where she remembered that one sentence from that one document among all the thousands she received. In Suits (tv show), ML has an extraordinary memory too and most of the time it's of use when they have to remember something one document said among all the others they read. But as for law articles ? All lawyers are aware of them to a certain level. I don't understand the reactions of her collegue whenever she cite one and they're like "oh really? it says that in the law?" like, what? And it was adressed by a few, and yourself, but that's their way of dumbing down everyone around her to make her look smarter and it's no well done imo.

And if you look at all the cases they won, it's either because she thinks of something they haven't thought before that they should have had as competent lawyer (like the road case where at the end she's like "oh wait, hold on, the road is public, that's how we win the case", like really ??) or either because they were lucky that they took on a case that was winable and that through their investigation they realise they picked the right side or whatever. Dumb luck really.

So the law part is weak, the romantic part is weak.... lol

I'm not up to date with the drama yet, But the romance between the FL and ML seems extremely childish? To the point…
Same lol, she acts a bit childish but it's because of her social struggles. That's how she is, but on his end, I don't understand how HE feels considering how she is. + all she ever does is talk about whales and that's it. How do you fall in love with someone with only work and whales to talk about ? What was attractive ? Her childish nature ? It's a bit weird, idk

The way they wrapped up this case was so stupid from my point of view, even a mediocre lawyer like this a-hole…
It's not just this one, even the road one "oh hold on, the road is public" really ?? That's how you win your case ? It took you 5 days to realise the road was public ?
None of the cases are well handled

Exactly, like we're not here to hate and pretend it's not a fun show to watch, but a 9.2? It's just misleading for everyone who will want to watch later on. I was myself dragged to watch it because of the ratings haha! I'll meet you at a 7.5 ratings! I don't like it when multiple plots are resolved in the last episode, usually it's not done well :/

And yeah, you should definetly watch The King of Pigs, an excellent but sadly not well known drama from 2022, if you like anti-heros like in Mouse or Extracurricular, you might like this one :)

You'd think the show is about how WYW evolves in the working and romantic world, how she adresses her issues, how she grows, considering her autism and all...
The way they could have write her evolution sooo much better and instead decided to give us no-thing.

I was never sold on the romantic relationship she had with Junho anyway, dude fell in love with her out of nowhere but well. But they dragged the storyline with her romantic relationship with Junho which led people to believe there was something to expect.
I was lead to believe she would grow in that relationship since it's her first one and she struggles with social interactions but the whole relationship was sooooo empty (except for whale talk of course)!
She aknowledges the making him lonely part way too late! It's something that should have been adressed earlier so that they can try to make this work. Her conclusion was "I make people lonely, let's not be together", really ? What's the point of introducing him as love interest if she doesn't learn anything from her relationship with him? Because the lonely part thing she knew that already, she said so herself, so nothing changed, she didn't grow, didn't learn anything. So all of it was imo for nothing and the romantic plot was just useless. I think it's realistic that she realises that her autism can make people around her lonely but they could have made a better storyline surrounding that fact.
If they wanted to focus so much on the law side, 16 episodes is just too much. They could have done that better with less episodes and no romantic relationship.

As for the side characters, I don’t know why they made Min woo a bad guy to just decide at the very end that "meh, nah, he's fine". They really gave him a 2 episodes redemption arc lmaoo, please, what for ? The two sidekick of the main lead, well, nothing new but that’s just what they are. They didn’t even try to give them a proper job lol, they are literally there to serve the sidekick scenes they need them for. Beard man has a bar with no customers and the best friend is a part time employee of this empty bar, no depth to these character lol, just there to make people laugh… Ok.

Even the law part. Are they even specialised? Because they handled civil cases and criminal cases and corporate cases... even their solving of the cases is often bad and attributed to luck.

I'm sorry but this show is not well written at all, what's up with the 9.2 ??
Anyway, I was happy to see The King of Pigs (go watch it!) Kim Chul's actor at the end of the last episode, this kid is very talented!

I haven't watched the "controversial" eps 13 and 14 yet, but am I the only one who finds most cases to be incredible…
Some are good but the legal approach of them is soooooo bad !
How do you solve the case with th most basic reason that "ouh, I didn't think of" ? Some of those reasons are the first thing a lawyer should look into...
Lawyer also specialise, there is no speciality in the team, they just take whatever case, it's stupid.
I also think it's waaay overrated.

exactly, they turned this into the typical kdrama romcom, the only difference is that the FL is autistic

not necessarily, you can recommend smthg for the feelings they both procure you, or for the storytelling that can be similar without the story itself being close whatsoever etc...
but if you're looking for similarities, both ML are anti-heroes

I didn't understand why Rami told WYW to not disturb attorney Jung when they saw him in pain at night 🤔.Shouldn't…
They didn't know he was sick at the time, after talking about his failed marriage, she probably assumed he was sad, she wanted to give him some space
