The set of main cast looks good, maybe even better collectively in terms acting ability than that of in the movie version. And it is produced by TBS which is known for its meticulous planning.
It was good all the way through up until the revelation, which leaves bad taste in my mouth. Way too illogical to happen, considering the timeline Nino`s character is supposed to be more than 40s at the current timeline and how come he didn`t remember his grandpa`s coworker then???
It`s pretty much a mixed bag in terms of quality. Some are good, with Hana-chan`s episode being the best. On the other hand, I feel like few others are too artificial (i.e. Shison and Kitagawa`s), maybe due to effect of different director and less-capable (and less-`organic` performances) actors.
Watched Parallel World a year ago in Short Shorts movie festival in Minatomirai (Yokohama) and I like Yuusha and Anna`s chemistry despite very short running time and the age difference (I guess Yuusha is twice as old as Anna at the time of the filming lol). Hence, I can`t decide what points the entire Cinema Fighters deserve because it consists of many short movies. Wish Kawase-san turns this project to be a full-fledged film someday.
Not bad, but not memorable either and somewhat felt rushed midway through, which is common for adapted live-action. Probably it could`ve been better if it`s in short series or 4-episodes renzoku form instead of one-off movie. The setting is very beautiful though and surprisingly not too far from Tokyo (wish I could visit Chichibu someday). BTW I like Yoshine`s acting here, that`s what you get when she`s not being miscast (quite possibly one of the most misused actress in her generation lol).
Arguably one of the very best in her age group (1997-2000ers), technical-wise. Her downside is that she is a little tad small (152 cm, in geinoukai height does matter), but thankfully not Shida Mirai small.
