Ah! So sad that Eita didn't make it to the top three..
Early 2000s Nakama was awesome, both in movies and dramas. I used to like her but I think Gokusen series (esp. the sequels) did a negative impact on her career. No longer she demonstrates more intricate techniques like in early installations of Trick and The Ring sequel and turns into more bland roles.
Anyway, someone missed to put Hiroshi Abe on the list

Thank you for the request! Wow, another fellow male and JMovie fan! You know how hard to find male members in MDL, especially those who are fond of Japanese movies and series
Takei's acting here was a very good one! Not an outstanding. I wonder if it's really me, or him.. but he really…
Indeed, but he does that type of character so many times (in fact he's typecasted into brooding, dark roles almost all the time). Not surprising at all to see him doing it so good. Toda's acting is an improvement, she handles the frantic, mercurial yet easygoing Michiru really well. Notable outstanding performance: that one playing Michiru's colleague (Tatebu)
Yup, too bad the ending isn't coherently related to the rest of the episodes. They should've end the show at Episode 7 with an open ending stuff and continue with a sequel (I guess it could be entitled: The Life of Former Bookstore Keeper Michiru) portraying Michiru's post-Takei life and her re-encounter.

Ueno Juri's upcoming drama looks meaty and intriguing, that's my prime target next season. Awesome cast ensemble, too. Honorable mentions: Joe Odagiri's midnight drama (can't remember the title though. it's too long and unmemorable), Mozu, and Gin Nikan. Maybe will take glances at some others. But I'm pissed on what the casting director of Erika-sama's drama, what a horrible overall cast! I admit Erika-sama is good but I don't think she'll succeed this time, literally she has to carry it single handedly.
thanks a lot for the news! definetly Shinigami-kun for me. but you make me interested in Long goodbye, and maybe…
I've seen from Japanese blogs and sites that Gin Nikan is a slice of life with historical Edo background. Perhaps not that mundanely realistic but if you've already watched Kogure Shanshikan, you'll know what I mean (though Kogure depicts life at modern times)

Hahahaha, just dropped by your tumblr account, with all due respect I think it's not my cup of coffee. Anyway, which shows will you watch next season? So damn excited for the next season, the lineup is pretty impressive by today's JDrama standard
Looks like pretty strong lineup right here, at least compared to the last few years' seasons. I'll definitely watch Uenodame's show, as well as Mozu 1, Joe Odagiri's midnight drama (can't remember the title though) and Gin Nikan (if subbed, I hope so because of Ashimana's presence in the show). Also will take glances at Gokuaku Ganbo and Tadanobu Asano's drama. Too bad Erika-sama's drama has weak supporting actors so most likely I'd skip that one.
Roosevelt Game looks appealing, cast- and theme-wise. However I don't wanna see it half-baked, I've heard that it will share the same director with Hanzawa Naoki, which in the veins of over-the-top acting despite its competent actors. It would be awesome if it's made WOWOW-style

I see, OTP means like a dream come true (for that particular audiences), right? Anyway, what's your tumblr account? Let me add you to the friend list
Totally agree, MDL needs a feature that allows us to arrange our own priority rank. Besides, I can't track my post throughout the forum and the database. Anyway, thanks for the link, now I can foray to the thread and post my suggestion :)

Spot on, the subtitles have been released in snail's pace. The only one I can rely on is Lost Days, but I've heard that the subber was ill so the release of 7th episode is delayed till now

Wow an online party LOL, sounds like fun. I have a tumblr account (you can check it right here: lontongstroong.tumblr.com) however it's rarely in use.
Anyway, what does "OTP" on your profile stand for? Does it stand for On Time Performance? Pretty curious about that one. And hey you finally give a go for Suzuki Sensei!
