I still can't get over the fact that some people say that the acting in Piece is good. For me, almost all of the cast are pathetically abysmal at doing their job done. Someone has to swap 95% of the original cast with better ones to make it really work.
Meanwhile, Biblia is a very underappreciated by some critics just because they had Gouriki in it. I like the directing and cinematography, which are definitely top notch.
If you are really into mystery shows, I urge you to watch real deal shows like Gonzo, Marks no Yama, OCN series, or Soratobu Taiya.
Whenever Koreans adapted dramas from Japanese or Taiwanese they always add irrelevant scenes to make it longer.…
I heard this version will be limited to 10 episodes, thus making it very likely to be more focused on the storyline and intrigues among the participants.
I once thought Liar Game is un-remakeable, especially for Korean or Taiwanese dramas. At least finally the audiences in Korea are matured and start to be open towards more various array of genres. They are catching up while the Japanese are stalled nowadays when it comes to ideas.
I like him a lot in Adrift in Tokyo, Jikou Keisatsu series, and Atami. It seems he is one of Satoshi Miki's regulars, or at least favorites. To my surprise, he even wrote a script and directed one of Jikou Keisatsu's episode. Talented man indeed!
Possibly most epic show in the season, can't hardly believe it is made by someone who usually make tragedy melodrama shows like Mother and Soredemo Ikite Yuku. It emits totally different vibe, to be honest, compared those aforementioned shows.
An odd little miniseries. When one sees the word "coffee," perhaps the smell comes to mind first, then…
Totally agree with you, I think another episode and it will be plain perfect. I see they show that the boxing kid has a bitter relation with his mother and I was waiting for the turn, with no avail.
However, I like the way they execute the sentimentality, not too moralizing and it is the customers who solve their own problem.
The first episode is mind-blowing! It definitely gives the same vibe as Mahoro albeit the execution is way better, especially in cinematography department.
The actor playing Jong Dae stole the show for me. All in all good movie, action-packed with top notch acting.…
They did climb the cliff using hooks, but it was undertaken a day before D-Day, not on major attack itself. The Ranger attack was to destroy some of German naval artillery situated a bit more inland then pulled back to safety, instead of occupying the beach. Their number also wasn't as massive as the main force, perhaps only around a few company and keep in mind, Ranger company was smaller than the regular infantry outfit counterparts. The attack in the movie, well, looks like the main attack on D-Day.
Pretty good first episode, I have to agree that one of strong points in this show is we'd never know how far Asumi will go. However I kinda felt missing link but so far I can't pinpoint what it is.

Agreed, it's the EPL not Serie A. Directness is the key of success because they hardly ever crammed as many players to clog the midfield from opponent's attack buildup like in Italy. Out-and-out strikers may prevail, or otherwise a goal poacher like Immobile of FC Torino can maximize Ozil's passes.

They need complete strikers like Suarez instead of giant, fox-in-the-box ones who can only lay the ball to other attackers. To rub salt on wound, the midfielders who suppose to come up forward to either break the stalemate or finish the ball laid by Giroud/Bendtner/Sanogo are not the free-roaming players.
Anyway, what's your overall second favorite? Beside Everton, I'm also fond of AS Roma, it's my first favorite football team
